You wouldn't need Hdmi out if you had kept you're apple tv :x
Airplay is pretty amazing and wireless.
With the exception of the high res. Which we knew wasnt happening, I'm nicely surprised by the rest of the announcements. Good stuff.

Bummer about the same screen resolution.
Bummer no built-in SD card reader.
The rest of the changes are pretty cool.
Nothing earth shattering.

Probably crappy like the iPod touch which just takes frames from the video feed and using them as stills.

I see no reason to upgrade for now. I don't have an issue with processor or graphics speed on mine.

Smart cover is neat. Somebody really put a lot of thought into that.

Now's the time to get a deal on an iPad 1 if you want it.
With the announcement of the iPad 2 at a media event today, Apple has reduced prices on first-generation iPad models in its online store. The new prices are available through a special clearance page. Each model has been reduced by $100, bringing the price for the entry level 16 GB Wi-Fi-only iPad to $399 and the most expensive 64 GB Wi-Fi + 3G model down to $729 from its original price of $829.
Refurbished first-generation iPads are also currently available at the time of this post. bringing even lower prices. A refurbished 16 GB Wi-Fi iPad 1 is priced at $349, while a refurbished 64 GB Wi-Fi + 3G iPad 1 is $659. Refurbished iPads are available in Apple's U.S. online store here.

www.gazelle.com is offering $437 for a used perfect condition 32GB iPad. My iPad has pretty much stayed in the case the whole time.

FYI Apple dropped the price of the OG iPad $100 respectively. So $399 for the 16GB iPad.
So $437 for a used 32GB iPad that's selling right now from Apple for $499 is a damn good deal. I'm taking it! Gazelle is sending me a pre-paid box and label, I just box it up and send it back and then they send me cash money!

That's a good price, I wouldn't pay more than $200 more off retail price for used, maybe $150.

Let us know if you really get the $437 or if they talk you down after they "evaluate" it.

From what I hear they're really cool. If I rated it at good and they evaluated it at perfect then they'd give me the price for perfect quality instead of good

Their website just offered me over $200 for my G4 mac mini
If you really get that $437 I'll send them my mini.

I really wonder if other companies had this sort of press conference everytime they add one new feature, would sales go up the roof too...

You get to pick.
I might go with verizon for iPad data, my AT&T network always cuts off in the BART tunnels.
Anyways, glad I waited it out. Almost went with the barnes and noble nook color currently on sale thru eBay for $200.

Or maybe I'm wrong... if it's one model and you pick in software or 2 separate models...
Yea you gotta pick what model 3G. Darn.
Think ill stick with AT&T model since I could use it abroad when I travel.

It was a PC world.....even when the first iPod came out it was panned by nearly everyone...nobody wrapped their head around it......until it caught on....it was genius.....and then people payed attention....and Apple made hit after hit.

Was hoping they'd put in the FaceTime HD camera from MBP.
