yeah i see the 710- but i heard its not all that great and someone i know has it they are not all that satisfied with it... its kinda bulky too....

the treo 650- does that require extra service to use all the programs on that fone?? like do you have to pay more monthtly to use the internet, email, sms etc??? same goes the bberryy..??

blackberry needs 44.99 extra service for unlimted data (email and web)

treo is optional..obviously it would be corny without web and email (so it is also 44.99 )

sms is all seperate charges then the 44.99 plan,

better off waiting for LG 8100 then...

I did. It looks pretty cool. I’ll probably pick one up when it comes out.
I passed on the LG-8000 because it was so huge.
The 8100 is only 1/8” bigger then my LG-4500 and it has tons more features….including speakerphone which I use all the time.

Me too. My last four phones have been LG's and I never had a failure.

Slightly off topic….. Does that Verizon “Renew every Two” offer expire if you don’t use it right away?
I’m on a 2-phone plan with my wife and one of our phones comes up for renewal every year.
She’s not a techno-geek like me so she always gets my old phone when I trade up.
Her upgrade was available back in January, but there was nothing I wanted to get at the time.
Can I use that in June or July and still get the 100-dollar credit?

it is supposed to expire every 6 months...but i have yet to see any sales person turn down the sale for that...so you should be fine to use it whenever...

mikey... will the 8100 be "the" phone for Verizon; carry a $400+ pricetag like the V710 when it came out?

My 2 year agreement with Verizon is up in early July and I'm going to start shop around a bit. I currently can get corporate discounts through Sprit and Cingular, including hardware discounts, so...

Curious what the LG will be priced at and if other carriers will be selling it???

I am sure its going to be a great phone, not sure if it is going to bring as much people as the v710 did though...(pretty much all the stores in my area sold out in one night when that phone was released)

You should have the ne2 credit with a 100 dollar credit towards any phone..look into that!! that could take a big load off the price..

and i am sure promo price will be less then 300 dollars

They do, but you would have to see through your human resources or call up customer service to put you through to a b2b rep....no way for us to access that..(otherwise all my customers would get a nice discount... jk)

I really like this phone except that it has normal motorola problems. I would wait and get the 8100. That thing should be pretty sick.

I just bought a V710 a few weeks ago. I really like it. I bought the HS850 bluetooth headset, stereo headphones, 256mb transflash card, and the huge battery for the phone. there is a lot of things you can do with it. there is actually a forum just for the phone.
v710.org
I learned a lot from this site and posted a few times there. good stuff. you can even watch full length movies on the phone. and with the stereo headphones, you can listen to about 3 hours of MP3s with the 256mb memory card. i'm really happy with it.

:edit:
but yeah, the camera really sucks. but the huge screen is beautiful. I just download pics from my computer with the memory card.

So the 8100 doesn't have a rotating camera like the 7000 does? Seems to look like its on one set location, correct me if I am wrong...

I've been doing some reading. May '05 is the speculated due date so add about a month or 2 after that for buffer. Pricing is said to be somewhere higher than 250 but that's all I know.
