Any experienced MS Outlook users out there?

I'm trying to input phone numbers in my contact list without using the parenthesis signs that the area code goes into. Every time I delete them and go to save contact, they appear again. This is not good when I'm syncing my phone to my Outlook stuff...Any clues on how to change the option to have Outlook leave out the ( and ) ?

it's prolly a matter of changing your locale, or number display settings in the control panel.

Not an expert, but as far as I know, the parentheses appear automatically. A lovely "feature," I suppose.

^It's automatic. I've spent time in the past trying to change that crap but it keeps coming back.
