Recommended Bluetooth headset for Moto v710

I don't want anything that looks like I'm a Star Trek g33k. The most unobtrusive unit, please.

Any thoughts?

Tiniest Bluetooth headset: Bluespoon AX (I love mine)

Review 1: http://www.infosyncworld.com/reviews/n/5634.html
Review 2: http://www.pocketnow.com/index.php?a...reviews&id=532

The only one I would consider getting instead is this one:

But it isn't out yet. End of May?

Sony Ericcson HBH-660 It's a sweet BT headset, has caller ID. I use it with my Treo 650.

I would never get a Jabra headset. The sole reason that in their instruction manual, it states that you have to have your phone on the same side as the headset in order for it to work properly. I tried a BT250 and walked maybe 3-4 paces and the thing started to cut out. I tested the headset with an SE K700i, S700i, S710a and a P910i and P910a and all of them did the same thing. I thought it might've been the phone so I made sure to upgrade all of them and it still did the same thing.

If you want matching brands, I heard the HS850 works great as well as the HS820 (although some people say its too small and able to be lost)

I use both Sony Ericsson HBH-600 and HBH-660. I like the sound quality on both but the HBH-660 battery last longer (even though it has the LCD for caller ID and such).

If you are unsure which headset would be best, I would recommend going to a retailer (maybe a Cingular store) and buying the headset so you know which one is best and if you have any problems, you could return it. That is how I found out my bad experience with Jabra. One of my friends has a Jabra BT200 and it acts so different from the BT250 I tested. Ah well...

Alex is right, I have a BT200 I was just using, and I got couple paces away and it gets all staticky, and I used to use the HS820 and got a very good battery life from it, but it wasnt that comfortable because it kinda moved around on your ear because it was small, so if you go jogging or run it feels like its about to fall off, while the BT200 was very comfortable, but You would think the BT200 would get a Lot more battery life than the HS820 Comparing the sizes and thinking the Jabra has a bigger battery, but I was surprised to see the HS820 lasted longer, I havent tried the SE Ones so I cant comment, but pretty much the best ones out there right now quality wise and popularity is the HS850 which is very good, tends to block out wind and outside noise pretty well, but the Scala 500 sells very well, low price, and all the reviews give it thumbs up, either way its good, the Jabra's are not bad, its not like your gonna be walking so many feet away from your phone, I usually keep it in my pocket so I cant tell, but the new BT250v is nice, because its got a vibrator inside haha,

Theres also the Bluespoon AX which is reasonably priced and Bluespoon is known for Quality things.

Now if you want the smallest thing out there and got a lot of money than get this:

5 Grams and really small but comes with a Price - the Bluespoon 5G

http://www.smartfone.net/62/425.html

As you can see everyone had a totally different Opinion, Some people Love JABRA, some hate it, some people love Motorola while some hate it, But I think you should give the Scala 500 a try, its very cheap and has gotten good reviews and is good looking and small

The bluespoon headsets (in general) are good headsets. My friend uses a Bluespoon AX with his Motorola RAZR... To my disappointment, it sounds like he is stuck in a well and screaming for help. As for the SE headsets, I like them all. Awesome noise cancelling and very good call quality.

I think bluespoons are more gimmicky and more looks than quality, while the SE isnt all that into looks but has good quality according to you.

I wanna give that Bluespoon 5G a try sometime though, but the Scala 500 seems like the best bang for the buck out of any Headset out there

Scrib,

I would also check out a Motorola forum and see what people say about the V710 and BT.

I spent days on www.treocentral.com before I chose mine.

Definitely base your opinion on the phone/BT headset combo. I've heard bad things about one treo 650/BT combo that that got great reviews for another phone.

Didn't know we got a mod discount I'm broke now so it doesn't matter unless it was a 100% discount
