Yeah, I think one of the great selling points is gonna be that you can make calls with it... In one of the articles I read, they talked about how they were gonna be distributed thru a large cellular carrier...if they don't do that here, it would be a shame!
And ur rite, a big phone is no big deal breaker anymore... its all about da SCREEN now!

The iPhone to me is already too big for my liking, but it's managable unlike the evo, droid x, Dell streak or even the galaxy tab.
I can see his point thou, if you look at the video on the galaxy tab, look how choppy it runs with the webpage full of flash stuff.
And then I hear the poor performance on other android phones.

I guess as I get older, I need a larger screen to avoid using magnifiers (bifocals) so much, so I will just have to deal with the size issue... This vid gives a nice size comparison at the beginning....NOTE: this guy is a Apple iZombie... for a more complete review without bias, watch this one...

Flash content is the way that most web pages are built today, so the phone peeps are gonna have to get this right! The Tab is a nice unit but still a beta, so I expect it to be choppy...there is too much at stake internationally for Samsung to drop a buggy product on an already very educated and picky crowd...

Cyanogen released his stable CM6 build last night. Its no longer an RC. I haven't gotten around to testing it yet. Will do so tonight. Looks like he's been adding some EQ settings for the audio and some other cool features.

CyanogenMod-6.0 is hitting the mirrors right now! This is our first stable release based on Android 2.2, and we’ve hit our target list of devices. I’m completely amazed at what this project has become and the community that has developed around it, and it’s only just getting started.
You can get your CM-6 fix with ROM Manager, or head over to our forums and pick your device. You can also find all things CM-related on the relevant forums at XDA.
Thank you to everyone who’s contributed and everyone who’s supporting us!

Also I figured that the phone is in beta hence the probable choppiness of the browser w/ flash.
But when you hear other phones available to buy that have poor flash performance.

Anyways it's nice that you can turn it off and at least have the option to have it.

^since when is 30's and 40's old?
All of the peeps at work with EVO's and Droids are younger than me...
I guess since I am a doctor, old is when you can no longer take care of yourself and stay by yourself...
Options are good to have, ur very right! I cannot wait until they get flash right... I am sure over at XDA, they will cook it and get it to us way before the companies do...

Let us know asa you have a minute!
So far so good. It seems a bit faster than RC3 and I only updated over RC3 instead of doing a clean install. Flicking through the desktop is more responsive and apps open just a tad bit faster. There are some audio tweaks he made when using headphones, and the Power Control Widget is a bit more customizable which is awesome. Gonna check to see how the battery holds. I turned off JIT as it doesn't seem to benefit my phone too much except in Linpack scores. Helps free up some RAM my phone needs and I haven't seen too much of a speed deficit, if any.
I was able to install flash 10.1 and I can honestly say it's not buggy at all. I can watch YouTube on the browser on the Droid. All of the emoticons work. All of the .gifs work too. All embedded movies work as well.
Ive been with HTC since Gen 1...just ordered my EVO to trade up from my HDTP 2...cannot wait..a coworker of mine at the Sheriffs office just got his in...that's a bad ass phone...Sprint is still 3 weeks out on orders. My kids are sad...they're stuck on 2nd gen HTC..hahaha!!

MT3GS
- Slower but decent processor compared to the Vibrant (Still very snappy from I've seen)
- Has a keyboard
- Smaller screen
- Has a LED Flash (Personally, I think LED flash is a useless addition. Maybe useful as a flashlight but for taking pictures, you might as well use photoshop and brighten the picture)
- Uses HTC's Espresso UI which I personally think is

- HTC still hasn't announced when Froyo is supposed to come out yet.
Vibrant
- Bigger screen
- Faster overall (CPU/GPU)
- No LED Flash (Has a Night Mode) or Keyboard (Not really needed on a 4" screen)
- Froyo announced to come end of Sept
- Samsung support may or may not be there
- Some people are experiencing GPS issues
- Comes with Avatar and the Sims 3 game preloaded
Someone at the T-Mobile forums said to call CS and ask them for a full upgrade price. Maybe your friend can save some more:

Depends on what she needs. They're kinda two different phones.

Oh I forgot to put one extra plus for the Vibrant. It actually works on AT&T's 1900 MHz 3G Bands. What does this mean? In areas using the 1900 MHz 3G bands (LA, NY, SF), the phone will get 3G if you decide to unlock the phone and use it on AT&T.

For the people interested in converting the HD2 into Android:
http://www.absolutelyandroid.com/and...-fizzled-away/
Sales of HD2 phones have actually gone up recently since a lot of devs have started converting HD2's to Android. lol. Supposedly next month, the source code for the NAND will be released and they'll be able to completely remove WM6 and inject Android on the NAND instead of the hack they're using.

LoL...Do a hard reboot. Take out the battery, wait 30 seconds, then put it back in. See what happens.
