Aarghhh!! Computer help please..

I was looking at pron, and my desktop locked up. Had to shut the computer down with the power button. When it booted back up, it opened up to a smaller window and showed Access denied and in the window was
c:\windows\system32

Tried to boot up in Safemode but it links me back to the above. Any idea what I can do here? Thanks...

Do you have another PC you can hook the drive up to as an external to run a scan?

If not, try running a boot disc like Kaspersky Rescue Disc (download and burn to CD) --> http://support.kaspersky.com/4162

or the AVG Rescue disc --> http://www.avg.com/us-en/avg-rescue-cd

or the Bit Defender rescue CD --> http://www.bitdefender.com/support/h...ue-cd-627.html

or the Hiren's boot cd --> http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/41669...hirens-bootcd/

Hiren disk is useless if you don't know what to do with it. And in most cases you'll do more harm than good.

I have a buddy that will come over next week to see if he can get me up again. I will take your advice here and not try to make matters worse. Taking it to someone will just cost me money and I have no idea what the person's qualification is. The Geek Squad will be pricey.... Thanks again.
