Even Aaron Hernandez thought the decision to throw was bad.

Sorry, too soon?

Bad quality picture? The receiver gets hits simultaneous to the catch, loses the ball, has the wherewithal to find the ball and kick it up. Meanwhile, a teammate realizes this and makes a diving catch for a touchdown. Seems close. Given that this guy kicks it with his foot while Kearse merely kept his body under it, I would say more unlikely. Both were amazing plays, no doubt.

That shot of him with Brady, is the only thing I've seen him do with class.

Alas, it was him who was called for encroachment at the end of the game (looked like a teammate pushed him), and it was him who started the brawl at the end. A very disappointing ending to a very good game for him. Make the Ag's proud and stay classy, Michael.

5 yards

In any case, I went from flaccid to 100% bloodflow when that interception happened. The whole garage was depressed while watching that last drive, especially after that ridiculous catch by Kearse. We were probably the loudest people on the block when the INT happened

I'm pretty sure he has more ass hat moments in his ledger than classy moments. I'm also guessing he's smart enough to realize being a poor loser after the Super Bowl would cost him endorsement money.

I still can't believe that catch too...

I threw in the towel at that point.

Was like so close to ripping up my wager ticket...

Seattle just imploded in the final seconds. With their D, they still had a decent shot to stuff the Pats for a safety after the moronic penalty put them inside their 1 yard line. Gifting them that 5 yards on encroachment was truly the final nail.

Yup, this will haunt Seattle for a long time. At that distance, and with who you have at RB, it defies logic to try to throw it.

If they got stuffed on all their attempts, FINE...at least you can say they tried and give then you can give some credit to the Cheats for an impressive goal-line stand. But, instead, the Seahawks just handed the win to the Cheats.

Good stuff. Not.

No. But, it would've forced the Cheats to punt. And given the Seahawks another set of possessions with a timeout still to use.

With the safety the Pats would have had to free kick it back to Seattle. Whether there was enough time for them to score again is another question.

Certainly. But a FG is all they would have needed. The game wasn't over with the pick. It was with the encroachment.

It was pretty fun to see Seattle panic and self-destruct. I thought the game was over when Kearse made his catch. I think most everyone did.

My favorite Belichick quote, responding to the question if he'd ever seen a catch like Kearse's: "Yeah, I've seen two of them."

Had they made the play it would have been "Carroll is a genius, everyone was expecting a run play".

Plus no one gave the game away, that was a great move for the interception.

And had Seattle scored there would have been some (not a lot) time left for the Pats to move down field for a score. They would have only needed 3 to tie up and go into OT. Lots of possibilities........

That's because you can't "out belichick" the real belichick. Still, had he made the catch (which he was very close to doing) no one would be questioning it.

Defender gets there a second earlier and it's pass interference.
A second later and it's touchdown, game over.

This. Butler said he knew the package as soon as he saw it and knew exactly what was coming.

Fantastic game, a real nail biter.

I can see why Vegas had even odds.
