I like that they are creating even more competition at every position. I kinda like the Stallworth move too. Was kinda bummed about Jeremy Jarmon getting traded cause he shined at times but he just didnt fit the 3-4 scheme.
I like the Donte move, he has something to prove after his last couple years. I will be good to he the "me" situation gone on the offense and defense, though McNabb did handle this well in the public. Was surprised with Jarmon as well, but Haslett knows what he needs and signing Cofield from Giants will do the trick.

Yea I really liked that Cofield move. He will help take up some space so our line backers can do work. I'm friends with Josh Wilson (he and I went high school together) so I was very happy about that move. That guy is a ball hawk. Our defense is starting to have the peices necessary for the 3-4. I'm excited to see what lies ahead.

I need to see Beck in preseason to gauge how I feel about him though. Kinda uneasy about our QB situation at the moment.

Not worried about QB, I think the best thing about who we have is that they know the playbook, the know it well. I do want to see how well Beck handles himself though. I knew the 3-4 would take more than a year to get going, it always does.

Just saw this

The Redskins did agree to terms Wednesday with former Ravens cornerback Josh Wilson, sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. The three-year deal is worth $13.5 million. Nice!

Bush to Fins. $2.5MM signing bonus, $2.5 salary this year, $4MM next year plus workout bonus. Could be a bargain

Yea they do know the playbook. Grossman displayed how well knowing the playbook works when he replaced Mcnabb last season. We have another signing

Here's one we didn't see coming. The Washington Redskins, per the indefatigable Adam Schefter, have agreed to terms with former Dallas Cowboys defensive end Stephen Bowen on a five-year, $27.5 million contract that includes $12.5 million in guarantees. I have several thoughts on this.

NFL Network says Kevin Kolb went to the Cardinals for DRC and a 2nd round pick, not confirmed what draft year its from though.

Arizona paid too much but I guess they got what they needed. Eagles found themselves in a win/win situation

True, he probably sucks to work for, but at the same time, he's the same owner that offered the contract that Palmer accepted. He knew what he was getting into...he'd been here a few years already.

And to come out one day and threaten to quit on the team that's depending on you when you're contractually obligated to play for them...that's childish to me I don't even know if he tried to bargain with them. Mix that with an old-school owner that's been around forever and it's a recipe for disaster.

Unless something happened where Brown stabbed him in the back or went against his word to Palmer, then I would understand, but I haven't heard any claims of that. Chad never claimed that either.

Just because a team isn't as good as you'd like, you should throw a fit and threaten to quit? All I'm saying is he's not exactly a victim here.

Bengals might be dysfunctional, but definitely not the most dysfunctional.

Year - Record

2003 8 8 0
2004 8 8 0
2005 11 5 0
2006 8 8 0
2007 7 9 0
2008 4 11 1
2009 10 6 0
2010 4 12 0

Our records since Palmer has been here ('08 he missed most of the year...he hasn't been the same since). We've had some bad luck such as career-ending broken neck for first round pick David Pollack. Things haven't been as bad here lately as they might seem.

Far from the worst team...imagine playing for the Lions?

McNabb to Vikings? Wonder if he will beat up Ponder for starting QB.
One of the talking heads on the NFL Network said they were getting rid of locker room problems with theses cuts.

I think the theory was at the time that they wouldn't push it for this year, but that's changed.

Seems they have been able to controlled the big money for the contracts of rookies. But it also seems that 1st round pick will be getting contracts of four years with all money guaranteed. But still a drop in the bucket compared to what teams were having to pay most 1st round picks.

Kinda pissed the Eagles have a pretty good corner back tandem again. Good thing Samuels loves to try and get the jump on the ball though. Allows him to get had on double moves.

ESPN had a big spreadsheet that McNabb plays better in a dome and that with the eight home games and two more on the road...

Thanks to Arizona paying so much to Kolb I think Orton to Miami is dead. Probably too high of an asking price and the Fins don't want to overpay. Problem is Vince Young is eyeing other teams now. Geez who's left.....Favre?

Looks like they found someone who falls within the ellipsis:

http://www.oregonlive.com/nfl/index....e_to_sign.html

Former Oregon State quarterback Matt Moore will sign a two-year deal with the Miami Dolphins today, according to a source close to the situation.

Moore, who spent the previous three seasons with the Carolina Panthers, arrives in Miami today to sign a contract worth $5 million with incentives that could push it as high as $7.5 million.

The incentives are mostly playing-time based, which means Moore would have to unseat incumbent starter Chad Henne, who threw for 3,301 yards and 15 scores while leading the Dolphins to a 7-9 record.

Miami reportedly held discussions with Denver about acquiring quarterback Kyle Orton. The addition of Moore probably ends those talks. Had Miami landed Orton, a source said Moore would have been in play with the Broncos, as well as San Diego.

Moore, who entered the league in 2007 with Dallas as an undrafted rookie free agent, last year signed a one-year deal with the Panthers worth $3 million deal as a restricted free agent. Moore beat out rookie Jimmy Clausen but struggled, completing 55.2 percent of his passes for 857 yards and five touchdowns with 10 interceptions over six games for an offense riddled with injuries.

Clausen eventually replaced Moore but didn’t perform any better and the Panthers finished 2-14. In April Carolina selected Auburn quarterback Cam Newton with the No. 1 overall pick making Moore expendable.

Miami would like to see Moore duplicate his performance at the end of the 2009 season when he led the team to victories in four of its final five games and finished the season with a 98.5 passer rating. Moore threw for 1,053 yards and eight touchdowns with two interceptions.
I'm satisfied with this. Hopefully the Fins are, too. I always wanted to see Henne get another shot with less conservative playcalling.

Darren Sproles to New Orleans..

i guess they wanted to fill that 3rd down back/punt returner position that Bush left behind...

Also, Brees and Sproles have a little history from San Diego.. so they should mesh well from the start.

I think Chad will have a few great years up there...no surprise he's gone. Very few people work harder than him, especially when he's motivated. It's obvious him and Belichick love each other and he's wanted to go there for a long time.

I don't see a reason why Haynesworth wouldn't work as long as he buys into the system. Unless he clashes with teammates and becomes a clubhouse cancer, which is very possible with him. No doubt they won't put up with that crap up there.

That's because Martz finally stopped calling those 99 step drops for Cutler.

The quick throws are where it's at when you have a porous O-line like Chicago. I mean, if the Bears had New England's where the QB can stand there until the next weekend, sure...! But, otherwise, no wonder Cutler had a concussion, torn knee, etc. etc. etc...
