Well now they are signing undrafted free agents so you know it's crazy. I keep hearing Fins are going after Deangelo Williams or Kyle Orton. Friday is going to be insanity.

Marc Colombo and Leonard Davis cut. Already rumors of them going to Miami to reunite with Sparano.

Bengals come out and say Palmer has retired and won't be traded.

McGahee, Heap, and Mason cut.

I'm surprised about Heap. Still think he's a good TE.

So, Biscotti...with the strike over, can we expect your Bengirls to be scouring the US Prison/Jail lists for potential free agents...?

Brown sounds like he'll have a lot of problems. I loved how he called out Palmer today. Not living up to his commitment to the Bengals, but what about the commitment the Bengals haven't lived up to as to getting talent around him for a better team.

McNabb to be traded to Vikings if they can re-due his contract. Has something to do with a 10 million bonus due him on opening week.

I want to see him brought on as a backup to Culter. Maybe he could teach cutler something about playing with a broken leg

Tarvaris Jackson and Leinart to Seattle? Hasselbeck to start in Tennessee in front of Locker?

I can't believe Kolb isn't a Cardinal yet.

QB carousel spinning? T. Jackson could be on move as Kolb waits

By Nate Davis, USA TODAY

The NFL's quarterback carousel may slowly be starting to spin after months of inactivity.

CAPTIONBy Mel Evans, The Associated Press

NFL Network is reporting that Tarvaris Jackson will sign with the Seahawks later this week. He would presumably take the roster spot of Matt Hasselbeck, who could be ticketed for Tennessee where he could keep the starting seat warm for first-round pick Jake Locker, whom Hasselbeck knows after they shared Seattle's sports spotlight in recent years. NFLN also says QB Matt Leinart will go to Seattle, reuniting with his college coach at USC, Pete Carroll.

Free agents cannot officially sign new contracts until Friday.

Meanwhile, Kevin Kolb, perhaps the hottest veteran quarterback name on the market, is still officially an Eagle. For now.

"We're waiting. We've made proposals. We've talked. We've exchanged ideas," Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt said of the team's efforts to obtain a new signal caller a year after Kurt Warner retired, "but to get something nailed down and then to think that you're going to get something worked out, whether it's a trade or even just a contract, especially when you have other teams involved, it's going to be difficult."

Kolb has expressed a desire to play in Arizona. The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Tuesday that Michael Vick's backup will remain with the Eagles for at least another day.

The Arizona Republic reported that the Cardinals are mulling trades for Kolb and Broncos QB Kyle Orton as well as extending feelers to free agents Hasselbeck and Marc Bulger.
"There's a number of quarterbacks out there that we're obviously in discussions or trying to make moves on to get something worked out," Whisenhunt said. "There's other teams doing the same thing. It's not that you just call up and, 'Hey, we've got a deal. OK, it's done.' You have to negotiate. You have to talk about difference scenarios. Then they have to go back and discuss it, then they have to call you back, and other teams are in the mix.

"It is a process, but like I said I feel very good about our plan and how we're going to execute that plan. Hopefully we'll have success in the very near future."

Any word on what JaMarcus Russell is up to these days? Anybody think he'll get picked up as a free agent? I don't like to think of JaMarcus Russell as the biggest bust in NFL history. I like to think of him as history's most successful JaMarcus.

I'm surprised Vince Young hasn't been cut yet. Probably still looking for bidders. I think they're waiting for Orton to Miami which is supposedly pretty likely. Time to check Twitter.

Skins sign DL Cofield

The Redskins have agreed to a six-year contract with free-agent defensive lineman Barry Cofield that will pay him $12.5 million in guaranteed money, The Washington Post said Tuesday, citing multiple reports.

Cofield, 27, had 54 tackles and four sacks for the NFC East rival New York Giants last season. He's expected to play either nose tackle or end in the Redskins' 3-4 defense.

The Redskins, who also reportedly agreed Tuesday to trade quarterback Donovan McNabb to the Minnesota Vikings, are expected to be agressive in pursuing free agents this offseason.

Eagles want DRC straight up for Kolb, but with a conditional pick added for performance marks for Kolb.

I'm the last person that's going to defend Mike Brown, but Palmer willingly signed his contract and his sucky play can't all be blamed on the team around him. He's not the same QB he used to be.

Chad tried the same "I want to be traded" bullshit a few years ago and Brown wouldn't budge because if you let one go, then everybody will try it. I have no sympathy for anybody that tries that.

Also they're keeping Deangelo, signed Olindo Mare to a 4yr $12MM $4MM signing bonus deal, TE Ben Harstock and of course will sign Cam. Remember one of the negotiations of the CBA was that teams had to spend a much higher bottom.

I'm reading Giants trying to keep Bradshaw but Miami going after him thanks to the Williams signing. Miami might be close to getting Orton.

Tavaris to the Seahawks. Leinart to the Texans. Santonio gets HUGE contract to stay in NY. Santana Moss staying. Lots of activity

There are other teams that trade or release players that don't want to be there and it works out fine. No one wants to be a Bengal, though. They know how much it sucks to work for this guy, and that's why he in particular can't do it.

A very good point. Might as well keep the best if you have to pay anyway.

I don't either, I'm just laughing at the standard as to what Brown was trying to say about keeping up to your end of a contract, when the Bengals are half adding it putting a team together.

I don't understand why Carolina kept Williams if they got Goodson and Stewart. Could've used that for other needs. Their team is pretty bad.

Damn, my Cowboys cleaned house. Roy Williams, Marion Barber, and Leonard Davis gone and possibly Colombo next.

At least they locked up Doug Free to a 4 year contract.

McNabb to Vikings? Wonder if he will beat up Ponder for starting QB.

Rookie QB, you need running backs, Williams is pretty good. This is a one back league anymore.

Sources close to me tell me that it's Kolb for DRC, a #2 and a new contract for Kolb. That's insane. Orton could have probably been had for pennies.

Sources? We all get it from the same ESPN Big 3 or Jay Glazer.

Last night Bush to Fins in a trade pending contract negotation. Fins brass up all night working on deal. God I hope we don't overpay.

They said the Saints were after him. So seems like they kept him to help chnge pace and keep him from a rival team.

You serious? LOL Supposedly the Vikes coach is high Mcnabb and the general opinion around the league is Ponder was drafted too high. I think McNabb is there to keep the starting spot warm and groom Ponder.

I wanted that as well but with the salary cap at only 120M he was taking up too much space. With him and McNabb gone we can sign at least one big name free agent. The Skins under the new regime have been pretty good at keeping quiet on signings until the deal is already made so I'm curious as to what other free agents they pick up. I like that they are creating even more competition at every position. I kinda like the Stallworth move too. Was kinda bummed about Jeremy Jarmon getting traded cause he shined at times but he just didnt fit the 3-4 scheme.
