I take back everything I said about Akers.

Yet on the Friday before the Eagles faced Green Bay in the playoffs three weeks ago, Akers was at Children's with his 6-year-old daughter, Halley, snaking through a course of tests that led them, unexpectedly, to the oncology floor. The doctors told Akers that a cyst in his daughter's left ovary had to be removed. They did not say the word, but Akers knew the possibility: cancer.
...
It has been a little more than two weeks since Halley had her ovary removed. The tumor was malignant, but early tests have shown that the doctors got all of it. Halley bounced back from surgery and left the hospital the next day, happy and unaffected by the stitches under her skin.
She will have to have blood tests every month for the next year, then more tests sporadically as she gets older. She also will have periodic ultrasounds the rest of her youth, and even if she is fortunate enough to remain cancer-free, eventually she likely will need to have her right ovary removed - her parents hope only after Halley has had her own children.

Team Owner
Well he had that bad playoff game and they still won. It's not like if he doesn't perform the Steelers won't perform. Then again these awards always vary how one perceives them. Stats, take him off the team, hair commercials etc. Everyone has their criteria.

Troy has been hurt since the Ravens game during regular season and has been a normal safety since. The achilles is obviously hurting him. Between that and Pouncey out this Steelers have their work cut out for them.

Steelers 63 Packers 3
That's my prediction: I hope the score is worse for the Packers.

Being on the worst QB-protected team, he has taken brutal sack/hit after sack/hit and gotten right up. You can question his football IQ, his poor decisions, and attitude to the press but you can't question his toughness.

It doesn't matter, people will ride his ass for just about anything he does. But will cheer for a QB starting in the SuperBowl who raped women.

Sad but true reality in sports...nothing speaks about "redemption" (I just puked in my mouth a bit) like winning.
Just the way it is.
