can someone tell me the logic behind actually going for 4th down on that play?

i can understand if they're trying to draw an offsides on 4th and 2 and then call a timeout if the defense doesn't bite. but here, they actually went for the play....

don't understand the logic behind NE's 4th down play.

if it was like the 50 yard line or in colts' territory, i understand going for it. but they were like near their own 30 yard line...

Really. End of the 4th and you're passing. Worst thing happened that QB throws a pick and Tampa ends up scoring. Thank God Tampa's prevent D sucked at the end. Making a game exciting against a 1 win team.

F-ckin cowgirls. Romo looked like the second coming of Cutler with sacks galore. WTF happened to Austin? 4 wins in a row, 3 games with no INTs, and then Sunday's spectacle Sheeit at least Stanford beat SC so my weekend wasn't a complete let down.
