Shaun Hill is an okay QB. It's just that he doesn't really make the big play. But he doesn't make the big mistakes like Smith does.... argh

Man, that Saints D really is something. Didn't they get a new defensive coordinator or something?

Never doubt Drew Brees either... I remember Chargers fans were all doubting Brees in that 4-12 season. Who knows if it really was drafting Philip Rivers that lit a fire under his ass or not, but I had faith in him and was disappointed with that pick. Rivers is a GREAT QB. It's just that Drew Brees is simply on another level.

no dis-credit to the dolphins.

but everyone knew that the saints werent playing "their game" for the first quarter and 1/2.

it was a matter of time before they started clicking and then the matchup truly looked lop-sided.

just glad they decided to click before it was too late...

Thank God I had little expectation for this year. The Colts and Saints shouldn't be undefeated. We should be in 1st or tied for 1st. We can't finish games. Thank God I ate great BBQ ribs before this mess and that I only got to hear some parts on the radio (1st half). This + the Hurricanes losing in OT pretty much ruins both seasons. Again

NFC North Standings:
1 - Vikings - 6-1
2 - Packers - 4-2
3 - Bears - 3-3
4 - Lions - 1-5

Yeah, my team lost for the first time this year, but at least we put up a fight. The Bears laid down and played dead starting with the coin-flip.

Giving up 14 points to the other teams DEFENSE in the 4th is gonna cost you. Honestly, I've had a bad feeling about the game all week - which is why I picked Pitt for the win in my weekly pick 'em league - 10-2 yesterday.

...and you think I have INT concerns with Favre? Cutler threw just as many INT's yesterday as Favre has all year, so, please.

if saints come out fired up like the did in the second half to start the game... it would have been ugly.

saints deserve to be undefeated b/c they worked for every game this year and earned it..

there was no foul play here.. just a late wake-up call and it humbled them a little bit in knowing they can be beaten. but they deserve their record thus far.

If standings is all you got...

Then, it should hurt you even more that your "superior all-mightiness" team lost to a second-rate team with a QB who plays like the second coming of Tony Romo often.

I should remember to be less classy when your team loses to mine down the road. I love this one-sided thing coming from you.

Now, leemealone. I need to deal with a Bengals fan here.

Lovie Smith and Lewis were in cahoots...the Bengirls are such a sorry franchise with a sorry roster that Smith (being the classy and nice coach that he is), told Lewis that he'll ask the Bears to lay down for the Bengirls to give the franchise a boost in morale.

Seriously.

S'cuse me while I write up a 10-page diatribe to the Bears management group and how I want my 2 hours back (I bailed when the score was ridiculous)...

You bailed on your team?! :shakehead

For shame...

It could've been worse though. I mean, Cut could've thrown 6 interceptions to top Orton's 5 the last time you girls strolled in to town for a beat down

Look. After watching Palmer throw for a bazillion first-half TDs and then to watch a WASTED 4th overall pick run like the second-coming of Adrian Peterson (the OTHER one), I had enough.

I took the wife to IKEA and then I went to Future Shop to buy myself a game to feel better.

Now, hang on, I'm still writing up the 10 page diatribe. And now, I need some Scope mouthwash because the bad taste is still in my mouth...

Question for ya: I know Hester returns punts, but why doesn't he return kickoffs anymore? I know Knox is doing good but still..

I'm a Bears fan, but I don't talk trash ahead of the game. They're wayyyyyyyy to inconsistent for me to take that risk.

Secondarily, I also am a Pats and Steelers fan because I admire well-run franchises.

Nearest I can tell some genius coach told him that he needed to become a receiver, and in order to be good at that he had to unlearn the things that made him a great kick returner.

He's a sad, indecisive shadow of his former self on special teams.

So that Jay Cutler trade that included two first round draft picks and Kyle Orton is working like a charm for the Bears now, they're about as good as when they had Grossman fumbling the snaps. It's really great to hear that Cutler, who didn't feel he could work under 33-year old head coach Josh McDaniels, is excelling at throwing interceptions and getting sacked. Don't forget he's also continuing his excellent streak of not being able to get anything done once in the red zone.

Here's to Jay Cutler, and the demise of the Chicago Bears

So how about that Kyle Orton? Do the Bears miss him yet?

Orton was a bad fit for the Bears' offense. He doesn't have the gun to throw the long interception like Cutler can.

Now be honest and admit that the fans weren't exactly dancing in the streets in Denver when they found out that Orton was coming to town to take the reins.

Nope...Orton is in a mix that works perfectly for him. Good defense and with arguably the best WR in football right now in BM. Add to that a very competent O-line where he can actually count to 3 Mississippi, you can do the math...

In Chicago, Cutler does not have that luxury. His O-line is crap and Forte is doing his best Curtis Enis impression this season...add to that a very inexperienced WR corp and you've got yourself a huge uphill battle. And oh, gotta love the zero pass-rush the last couple of games...

The Bears are still better off with Cutler. QBs with his ability and arm don't come around regularly...Do I want him to play better? Yes. But, if you want to use yesterday's game as an example, his O-line and defence gave him VERY little chance. When you were down by 3 TDs so early, you had to resort to alot of throwing and with that WR group? Forget it.

I'm not saying that the Saints nor the Colts didn't work for the win nor play foul. But it's really a good chance any NFL team will win if they're up 24-3 with 5 seconds left in the 1st half. Obviously part of the comeback was the Saints playing Saints ball. But damn it, the Fins made wayyyyyy too many mistakes that a team above mediocore wouldn't have made. You guys capitalized on them and that's what an elite team does. And we blew the game because we're below medicore. But if you spot an NFL team that kind of lead, they're likely to win. And again, I never thought that they didn't earn/deserve/work for what they got. Saints most definitely deserve it. The Fins were happy to oblige. FML
