Jackson always thought he was good on defense, so he might be able to help the pistons if he shows any of the 'talent' he had being a first overall pick.

Clippers sign Ricky Davis
....probably a good pick up considering the free agents left on the market. And fits in the SG/SF position the clips are looking to fill. Clips really put together an interesting team out of essentially nothing. Going to really test the coaching of dunleavy.

^^ Overpaid? Maybe a little. He can flat out shoot the 3 and he worked his way from the end of the bench to playing siginficant minutes in the playoffs. He's young, his defense is improving (despite the Ray Allen open door play), and he knows the system. I see him as the Lakers version of Danny Ainge ( God I hated that little punk ).

Looks like long distance shooting is one of the main attributes of an auxiliary player. It's why Lakers got this guy and we got James Jones and Posey made good money with his new team.

).I don't think he's overpaid, because his deal is only for 3 years. Keeps him on the hot seat, his contract is tradeable in 2 years if he doesn't improve, and I think he's got more upside than what was out there for the Lakers.
Plus, I like what I read in his presser. Turned down a more lucrative deal in Russia to win a championship in LA, and LA is "where his heart is".

I hope sasha gets "better", but I really don't think it's his shooting percentage that needs help, yet that's all he seems to be concentrating on.... when he says he wants to be the "best shooter in the NBA". Shooting 43% from three is good, he just needs to learn WHEN to shoot, move better without the ball, maybe improve his ball handling and at least have some sort of inside game to give defenders something to think about, and DEFENSE. I bet his 'workouts' consist of shooting like 300 balls from the 3 pt line....
He just seems way too one dimensional to be putting up that kind of money, although boobie gibson got a 5 year deal, but I think for less each year.

The Houston Rockets have reportedly reached an agreement with the Sacramento Kings that will land Ron Artest in Houston.
According to published reports the Rockets will send Bobby Jackson, Donte Greene, a first round pick in the 2009 NBA draft, and cash amounting to around $1 million to the Kings for the storied forward. If Greene is, indeed, involved in the deal then it won't be able to officially take place until August 14th.

This is even worse than what the lakers did to fucking memphis.. Kings did this bullshit to spite us lol..
We offered them Odom (13/14) mil expiring plus something else and they take those bunch of scrubs lol

But it definitely is a win now trade. 1st round picks could turn into superstars. But it's true yao and tmac aren't getting any younger, so this is a great move for the rockets, and definitely puts them towards the top in the west, if he fits in. He definitely could bring some veteran leadership to a team that at times seems to lack someone to motivate his teammates. It's just a matter if he fits in.

the centers are really getting paid. First Bogut gets a ridiculous deal, then Okafor, and also Biedrins got a good contract. deng got a lot of money too. Hopefully Gordon can work out a deal, but sounds like he wants to get paid.
