Good fourth quarter by the Heat and great block by Lebron although from all the angles showed on Espn Splitter might not have made the dunk anyway. Now it's the Spurs turn to respond I'm sure Pop will make some adjustments.

He collected a nice pay check this year to basically wear suits to the games.

Lebron has to be more aggressive he looks hesitant like he's second guessing himself, 3 games under 20 for him is horrible. I don't think he should've said he's 50 times better than 2007 only because when your that good you don't need say things like that you prove it by winning the championship. I bet that just added more fuel to Pops fire he's forcing the other players step up and when they don't games like tonight happen.

Yeah Lebron is doing the exact opposite of what I expected out of him. If he would take over and just power it to the hole each time he would either make it or be shooting 2 which he would likely make.

All of these games have deeper meaning imo. Coach Pop is a mastermind in how to play this game as a chess game. It looks like Coach Spo is trying to mimic in a way of his style this season. I expect Lebron to be explosive game 4. Chris Bosh needs to get his head out of his ass and stop being lazy and start driving the ball. Basically making himself one dimensional, the past games going into Indiana. Both Bosh and Lebron need to make that high IQ of basketball work since they are making silly turnovers which hurt us.

Guys they're playing off Lebron and Wade and daring them to shoot. When Lebron penetrates he gets swarmed.

If he gets swarmed then someone isn't matched and he/they need to start finding that free guy.

Lebron is normally is a much better shooter (4 time MVP) than he's shown in this series so the fact that they are letting him shoot it he should be knocking them down but he's playing hesitant and unsure. When Lebron isn't knocking down his shots it makes it much harder for everyone else on the Heat. It's Pops plan to put Lebron in uncomfortable situations but its Lebrons responsibility to show why he's a 4 time MVP and rise above it.

Problem is, those free guys weren't able to knock down shots in game 3.

Danny Green and Kawhi Leonard were huge for the Spurs in Game 3 - if they keep playing defense like that and keep knocking down three's, its over.

Wonder if Parker will be 100% for game 4...

I'm sure Parker will be ready but if not Cory Joseph is a decent filler. Also don't forget about Gary Neal.

How about TMac?

This is an interesting post. I've seen Pop, Phil Jackson, Riles, all sit their best players when they are playing shitty. Phil Jackson goes one step further and lets them play to figure it out and play themselves back in....and not just in regular games, he done these things in game 7s of conference finals and the finals themselves.

Does Spo have that sort of trust/authority with the Big 3? I'm asking as opposed to contrasting the great coaches vs. Spo. I haven't really seen him do it, but maybe I don't watch Miami enough.

i would say the trust is there, but Spo hasn't done it yet.

Exactly.

They're daring LeBron to shoot the ball once they see he's having a hard time making 'em. If he turns this around, & starts knocking them down (as he already should be), Pop will change up his game plan to adjust.

TMac is going to be reserved for garbage time. He was an amazing player years ago, but he's lost that spark. His biggest contribution in the Playoffs has been 7 rebounds & 7 assists. He's 0-7 FG. If the Spurs win the series, he's retiring. Zero doubt in my mind once he grabs the easiest championship ring in a player's life.

Yeah I think it's hilarious that he has zero points and then if he gets a ring

But I do think he deserves the experience, to me he is a great player and every great player deserves that IMO. It's really sad when it doesn't happen like a lot of players. I definitely don't think he deserves the hardware though. All in all it's pretty cool to have our fans welcome him like they have with chanting his name and such.

Also local news supposed to know if tony is a go or not at 10.... Dun dun dun

Damn, that's like the quickest turnaround from player to head coach in the modern era (I think Bill Russell was a player-coach, but not a head coach).

Personally, I think he'll be a crappy coach. Does he even have the maturity to be one...?

I'll laugh if Dwightmare plays there.

Kidd is beloved by the Nets organization and really close with DWill also rumor is he's going to hire Lawrence Frank as his top assistant as well as other veteran coaches. You know what they say Fake it till you make it.

Tonight should be interesting with Lebron promising to play better and Tony Parker not being 100% he might not have to guard Parker which will free him up to do more.

Hey maybe Coach Kidd will "turn that team around 360 degrees"

The old-timers should get that reference.

Kidd as a coach will only last a few years then he will do something else in the organization. I'm rooting for him though.

I don't know what to think about tonight's game but its a very important one for both. Hopefully spurs bench shows up again.

Heat came to play and the Spurs squandered a golden opportunity if they lose the series this was the turning point. Ginobli is playing like all series long.
