Seeing a lot of Lakers fans on FB complain that it's a new team & it will take time to adjust. That's funny really considering the team they just played is pretty much all new.
These idiots need to realize 2 words: Mike Brown.
As long as he's doing what he wants & handcuffing Nash, the super team isn't going to get anything done. It was a close game tonight, but if it repeats against Portland(?) tomorrow night, they'll go straight for the Lakers weak spots.

yes, Mike Brown must go. Me and clpassenbye have been saying this here for at least the past month. It goes back even further for plenty of us.
I hope you guys read my 'set nash free' comment in the last thread. you don't go out and get the best point guard since Magic and make him try to run your offense. You do it his way.
Magic Johnson got Paul Westhead fired that way and that was AFTER a championship.
Guys are trying to fill their roles too much. Whereas Dallas had the freedom because there's no Dirk to run the offense through, there is too much that the Lakers are trying to do to keep within their roles. Their collective minds are cluttered, as was lebron, Wade, and Bosh their first year. Its inevitable when you have that much talent and no real pecking order established.
With that said...its the first game. Believe it or not, the 3 peat lakers made a habit of losing to small teams. This isn't the last time its going to happen....they'll find their way around Pau and Dwight, as the nature of the regular season is that teams like this win games against teams with a big front lineup quite often.

Tried to stay up for the Laker game but waking up at 6 tired me out. Don't worry LA fans. It takes time a while to gel. We should know. I will say that Jamison looked good out there as does that Jordan Hill fella.
Glad the Heat didn't flop like the '07 title defense. Fortunately no Shaq nor Antoine Walker characters. So efficient in the 3rd. And without Lebron in the 4th Ray picks up the slack, Bosh hits key buckets, and Wade being Wade. Rashard Lewis a nice surprise too. I didn't think he'd play so many key minutes. And of course Rondo with his antics at the end. Love that Wade just laughed at him.

Take a number, Mark. He's always too worried about value than about putting the best talent on the floor.
I have a huge dislike for Rondo, too. Pierce and his wheelchair bug me. But KG's bugged me since his Minny days. Talked tons of shit to other opponents, except for Shaq. Typical bully attitude....look to punk someone smaller.
I'm glad Chalmers and Wade were able to laugh off the BS.

Varejao gets a little props....but have you seen washington's frontline? Look at the box score for that game, Washington is going to be hideous.
Sorry....bitter because I played against Var-jay-jay last night in my fantasy league.

I think my best pick may be teh unibrow that i picked up in the 6th round. But we will see. Might have to pick up Barbosa if he shoots like that consistently.

Agree that Mike Brown is not the coach with Nash here.... Psh. Princeton Offense, get that outta here!
You know who's always had great success with Nash? Mike D'antoni... I think he's looking for a new job....

I also think D"antoni isn't the answer either. he couldn't do it with nash in PHX. He can't do it with him in LA. granted he has more firepower in LA. I just don't think he works well with superstars.

@Asianspec: Well... the only real superstar (other than Nash) that Dantoni worked with was crybaby Melo. And Melo's history with good coaches isn't great.
Even George Karl admitted that Melo was hard to work with after the trade to NY.
Hence, people say George Karl beat cancer twice: throat cancer, and Melo-noma.
Agree though, Dantoni is great at winning games in the regular season, but he isn't a proven play-off coach for sure.

D'Antoni was fun to watch, but can you imagine SSOL (Seven Seconds or Less) with players 30 y/o and over? Gary Vitti would be working overtime.
Barbosa's a fine pickup, especially if he can fill-in for both guard positions. My only concerns are there are too many shooting guards on the Celtics and he's as streaky as a 5 y/o's underpants.
What do you guys think of Chase Budinger? Minny's leading scorer in preseason, gets 3s in bunches. I'm looking at him or Tuff Juice (Caron Butler).
