I am very surprise that Howard(ORL) doesn't avergae 25-30 pts per game. He's a dominant player and they should feed the ball to him like shaq.

man that boston/orlando game was good but there is no way that they should have won.. Orlando is really not using there ultimate weapon in Dwight howard.. he should be fed the ball every trip down no matter what, let the offense run through him.. they have turned into a jump shooting team and they are struggling..

problem is, he doesn't have a go-to move or shot yet. and he's very unselfish.

It just amazes me how bad of a coach Van Gundy is in critical situations. Orlando has a lot of talent... but they will not win anything with Van Gundy at the helm....

he dunks like 70% of his shots anyways. They should feed him the ball then the defense will pay more attention to him so that leaves the parameter shooters wide open.

he dunks 70% of the time because he has no go-to move or shot.

logically, yes. they should feed him the ball, have defenses collapse on him, and leave the shooters open.

but you can't just feed him the ball and expect him to dunk the ball each time. defenses are better than that. especially in the playoffs. they can barely run plays for him because he has no consistent move. even shaq, at this stage in his career, was developing the baseline spin and shot.

is this his 2nd or 3rd year? I think he will become a great center in a couple years.

:shakehead

this is his 5th season.

he'll be a great center. he's still got A LOT of work to do...particularly, his shooting. but he is probably the most dominant big man in the league.

interesting stat from wikipedia:
During the 2007–08 regular season, Howard led the NBA with 897 free throw attempts while shooting only 59% from the free throw line.[48] Also in that season, outside of layups and dunks, his shooting percentage was only 31.6%.[20]

yea the way i see it they were written off to begin with, barkley didn't even think they'd make the playoffs, n then they come thru the first round and then expose the lakers to a 3-2 series which everyone thought would be a sweep or 4-1, i mean are they really supposed to be championship team?? yea we lost last night by a neck breakin 40 pts ...but to think they came this far with about 50% of their payroll sittin on the bench, is pretty amazing...

he really is terrible. Its great seeing him look like a dejected moron when things dont go his way though.

I really never expected Boston to do this well without KG. I figured they would be able to get past Chicago, but thought that the chances of getting past Orlando were very slim at best... but Big Baby and at times Scalabrine with his 23465 concussions this year have really stepped up

now if we could just get Bill Murry to kidnap Lebron James, then things will be OK

Houston just found the Lakers weakness... shitty teams hahaha..

We loose to to the worst teams, then beat Cleveland and Boston on the same road trip without Bynum and Lamar for 1 of those games... were wierd..

LA vs. denver is going to be a hell of a series.

denver has the bigs to give LA problems. they have great shooters, scorers, and great point guard play in billups.

i think the winner of that series will win the trophy.

Dirk dominates; Cristal's tale evolves
9:20 PM Tue, May 12, 2009 | Permalink | Yahoo! Buzz
Brad Townsend E-mail News tips

While Dirk Nowitzki almost single-handedly kept the Mavericks' season alive on Monday night, more details emerged about his arrested former girlfriend's past.

We already had told you that Cristal Taylor had in 2003 applied for a license to work in a Beaumont gentleman's club. Now we learn that she worked there as a stripper, using "Jade" as her stage name.

We previously reported that, unknown to Nowitzki, Taylor was married from 1998 to 2001 to a man named James Westerhaus, who blamed her for piling up most of the $330,000 in debt that caused him to file for bankruptcy in 2002.

Now we know that when Cristal filled out her sexually oriented business license application, she did so as Kristy Briana Nobles and listed her maiden name as Holmes.

Though we have found no record of a marriage license, our relentless staff researcher Molly Motley Blythe found that Cristal, or "Kristy" lived with a fellow named Todd Nobles, who, coincidentally, also filed for bankruptcy in 2002. The News left an unreturned phone message Tuesday at Todd Nobles' most recently listed place of employment.

And while we previously reported that Cristal Taylor has used at least eight different aliases, still more were associated with her name in Beaumont, including Crista Nobles, Christy Nobles, Ann Westerhaus, Crissy Tyler, Shirley Taylor and Crissie A. Nobles.

It was around Dec. 20 2004, Beaumont police say, that Cristal Taylor bilked a local dentist out of $10,000 of dental work. She claimed to be a student at Lamar University, presented a driver's license with the name Christian Travino and used a credit card that was subsequently rejected. Police couldn't find her as the investigation progressed.

Sometime this week, Cristal Taylor is expected to face an extradition hearing. By week's end, she could be moved to one of two locales in which she is wanted for outstanding warrants _ Beaumont or the St. Louis area.

Will Dirk and the Mavericks still be playing?

dirk can do better than that. no homo.

Loved the wave at the Laker game last night, we started doing it at the RG this year when we got up on a team by 20. Wait, we beat the Lakers by 20 at home this year, maybe they got the idea from us Between that and the free Taco chants, I felt right at home last night watching that game( Blazers give out free tacos when we score over 100 points in a game)

Lol laker fans get it when the other team DOESNT score over a 100 and we win.

Lakers putting up a 100 is usually not the issue.. even Jack knows about our weak D

There was an article in the Miami Herald that one of our sports writers wanted Kidd. He suggested to re-sign Wade to an extension, trade Beasley for Bosh now since Bosh is out anyways, and sign Kidd for nothing for some PG D that Chalmers must work on. Let's see what happens this summer.

kidd's not done.

he's old, but he's still got some years left in him.

he's lost a lot of his speed, obviously, but he has one of the highest basketball iq's in the league. the guy is so smart out there, and he just knows how to play and get his teammates involved. his jumpshot has improved as he's gotten older. it's still not great, but i believe he just had his best 3pt shooting season.

unless he decides it's over, he's still got some years left in him.

nah J.Kidd isn't done yet he will be back... who will he playing for is another story but he will be back.. i like the Nugg Vs lakers series i really think that with billups running the floor that they will beat LA.. to me it looks like Chauncey has the same team he had when he was in detroit when they won just a little bit younger and a whole lot more energy.

Lakers and Celtics are garbage!

It will be Cleveland and Denver going at it in the Finals!

I won't be surprised if Cleveland has the broom sweeping throughout the Playoffs including the finals!
