Fisher, well..that was a nice hit but not smart at all. He may earn a suspension on that due to the fact he lined up to make that hit. I predict a small fine for Rafer, but not a suspension...it may have been different if they were friends and he slapped him and smiled saying something like "you lucky muhfukka" or something..hahaha...Stu Jackson has some thinkin to do..I'm sure they will announce before the end of the night on what happens....

Oh, and the player that got owned the hardest in NBA fights was Rudy Tomjanovich way back in the day when he played, when he literally ran into a punch and it took half his gaddamm face off....sheeeet!!

Finals - Lakers and Cavs, The Lake Show takes all in Game 6
hell yea, stu jackson has some thinking to do.

the penalties/suspensions/fines have been so inconsistent.

and yea. that punch on rudy t was vicious. he had a lot of therapy afterwards.

frame by frame analysis of the Kobe elbow. Its a laker slanted site, so don't read the text if you don't want to. The pics are excellent though.

its clear to me that they were jostling for position. Ron's arms and bows were up over Kobe's shoulder most of the time. In and of itself, that's a foul that wasn't called, since techincally, you can't hold someone down or climb over them. If his elbows are up over Kobe's shoulders, pressing down, then Kobe's elbow is most likely at chest level.

I fully expect Fish to be suspended, but let Ron and Kobe play. Ron shouldn't have been thrown out, but the thought of Ron Artest running up on anyone is kinda frightening.

^kobe's a smart guy.

even without the frame by frame, i didn't think it was intentional.

he knows better than to start something with crazy ron:
1) he'll get torn up
2) he's not going to risk a suspension and get knocked out of the playoffs

^^do you think the Kobester anticipated Ron running up on him? It was funny how Ron first started arguing the call and then thought "hey, I just got elbowed!"

I got to admit that Ron is both scary and entertaining at the same time.
BTW.....

MAGIC’S ALSTON AND LAKERS’ FISHER SUSPENDED -- Lakers’ Bryant Assessed Flagrant Foul -- NEW YORK, May 7, 2009 – Rafer Alston of the Orlando Magic and Derek Fisher of the Los Angeles Lakers have each been suspended one game without pay for their roles in separate incidents last night, NBA Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations Stu Jackson announced today.
Alston has been suspended for swinging and making contact with the head of Eddie House of the Boston Celtics with 48.6 seconds remaining in the third period of the Magic’s 112-94 loss to the Celtics in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals last night at TD Banknorth Garden.
Fisher has been suspended for striking Houston’s Luis Scola with his shoulder and head with 13.2 seconds remaining in the third period of the Lakers’ 111-98 win last night over the visiting Houston Rockets in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals at STAPLES Center. Fisher received a Flagrant Foul Penalty Two and was ejected from the game at the time of the play.
Jackson also announced that the Lakers’ Kobe Bryant has been assessed a Flagrant Foul Penalty One for elbowing Houston’s Ron Artest in the chest area with 6:57 remaining in the fourth period of last night’s game. Alston will serve his suspension on Friday when the Magic hosts the Celtics at Amway Arena. Fisher also will serve his suspension on Friday when the Lakers visit the Rockets at Toyota Center.

kobe's smart, but he can't see the future!

kobe and ronron are friends off the court, right? at least that's what ron said. kobe probably thought he could keep it rough and competitive and ron wouldn't get back at him.

the look on his face is brave compared to what would be on mine.

They are definitely friends, but I can tell you that I've wanted to beat a few friends asses for the way they play sometimes!

Still can't get over rons reaction, and Kobe's too.

Did you catch Crazy Pills interview afterward? Apparently, he witnessed on court murder back in NY. A friend of his was stabbed in the heart by a broken table leg for playing too hard. I kid you not.

Awesomeness.

He made that story up.. coming from the same idiot who said Brandon Roy is better than Lebron..

I think i watched the DFish highlight like 10 times today.. some good shit..

A 1 game suspension was well worth seeing some PF getting knocked the fuk out by a point guard hahaha.

6'1" 210 Lbs > 6'9" 245 Lbs.. apparently the lakers still lack toughness lol

lol that story Ron told was funny as hell. Im like 'is he really saying this on national tv'?
Kobe can get rough with Ron in the game though, he has nothing to lose. He knows Ron Artest doesnt wanna be suspended because of the impact that could have on the game (and the series). And even if Ron did hit him, and he was afraid to retaliate, he could just say that he didnt hit him back because he knew he couldnt risk being suspended. And that would be a very good excuse..,.

Ron Ron isn't just talk, apparently. When he was 12, a guy named Lloyd Newton was stabbed through the heart after a disagreement about the basketball score.

So the Lloyd went back into a house,
found a table,
broke the leg,
made his way back to the court unnoticed enough
to land a heart piercing stab..

ron artest is a funny mutherfucker.. but he didnt witness shit..

game on tonight la. The fans are going to fired up, the players are going to be fired up. Htown is going to be ready to play tonight. I think the rockets jump out to a early lead, only to have la come fighting back. But the second half, the rockets pull away. Htown wins this game by 7.

yea that really wasn't a flagrant 2....MAYBE a flagrant 1 at the most. I would think they'd at least think about downgrading that to a 1 if possible, since the game was pretty much over anyways, and there wouldn't be too many people thinking the ejection cost them the game.

funny both teams that lost their starting point guards won tonight. I actually like farmar on brooks more than fisher, but I don't think you can start him over fish.

I doubt they'll suspend them. After reviewing the video, Stu will probably scratch his head and wonder what the hell the refs were looking at. Hard foul yes. Flagrant? no. Artest was playing the ball, was looking at the ball the entire time, and actually had his hands on the ball. How is this a flagrant and Rondo head slapping Miller out of reach of the ball not, I have no idea.

I bet they downgrade it to a flagrant 1. I don't even think it was a hard foul.

Hope they let him play, hope Yao is alright.

No way in hell would that be a fla. II ... refs just want to calm the situation ... I was surprised to hear some talk show hosts saying that Lakers would win 4-1 before the game started here in bay area ... I myself was a bit disappointed 'cuz i was rooting for Rockets ....

I'm losing sleep over this loss ... LMAO ....

RIP Coach Daly as well

I'm looking forward to the Denver THUGgets game today lol...when I lived in denver, I went to a lot of games at Pepsi Center..they are a fun team to watch but there is no better mascot..in ANY sport than my main man "Rocky"...when the game loses the excitement, the entire arena focuses on him...funny as shit.

Laker game last night was really good..Kobe was killin em from long range..the Artest foul should of been a regular foul, at most F1..but certainly not F2..i guess refs wanted to set tone for game 4.
