Believe it or not, a lot of people including myself aren't happy with this firing. Mind you I'm of Cuban heritage and yeah my family lost a fortune from Castro. I'm upset with the instability the Marlins are showing everyone as far as being manager. Why the hell would you want to come manage here. We've fired Girardi, Fredi, and McKeon who won us a series. Mind you our last 10 years of very high draft picks are pathetic. Chris Volstad is no longer a Marlin and Jeremy Hermida isn't in the majors anymore. Nobody else made it from that time. Stanton was like a 4th rounder. Our Miggy trade was a disaster. We overpaid for John Buck. Our farm is so bad lately that we had guys batting around .170 last year with nobody from the farm to take over. Heath fucking Bell. I'm sorry Beinfest is probably a bigger reason or his scouts. I can't fully blame Ozzie. Mind you now we gotta pay him like $7MM for nothing.

I was surprised Beinfest and a lot of others weren't fired at the same time. Really make it a shake up!

^ Teams that have a long delay between the AL/NLCS and the WS are historically bad in the first game compared to those that aren't. Same thing happened to the Tigers and Verlander in '06.

More bad news for the Tigers is that it looks like Valverde is still clueless.

There are already enough annoying Giants fans in SF. The population doesn't need to grow.

I feel bad for his family but this guy has been such a douche to the Yankees I hope he is happy nau!

PHOENIX (AP) -- Former Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman and television analyst Mark Grace has been indicted in a DUI case and could face nearly four years in prison if he's convicted, authorities said Thursday.

The Maricopa County Attorney's Office said a grand jury indicted Grace on Oct. 3 on four felony counts of aggravated driving or actual physical control while under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs.

Authorities said Grace faces between one and 3.75 years in prison on each count, but the sentences would likely be imposed concurrently if he's convicted because they relate to one incident.

Grace, 48, could face less time if he pleads guilty to reduced charges, according to authorities who said he's not probation eligible because it was his second DUI charge in a 15-month span.

A call to Grace's attorney, Larry Kazan, for comment wasn't immediately returned Thursday afternoon.

Grace was arrested Aug. 23 by Scottsdale police who said his blood-alcohol level was .095 percent, above the state's legal limit of .08.

Police said Grace also was allegedly driving on a suspended license and didn't have the required interlock device installed in his vehicle stemming from a May 2011 DUI charge.

Grace took a leave of absence after his second arrest and the Diamondbacks recently replaced him in the broadcast booth after nine seasons.

He played 16 years in the majors with the Chicago Cubs and Diamondbacks and was a member of Arizona's 2001 World Series championship team.

Anyways, at this point in the WS I'm just hoping for the Tigers to win a few games to make it exciting

I can't believe the Giants are going to win another one...they weren't even that good this year. Especially with the year Lincecum had...

Detroit sucks. Pretty much a meltdown. Giants weren't the best team in baseball but they have been playing well when it matters.

Surprised there hasn't been more talk about them possibly not being in the playoffs at all if it wasn't for the games Melky Cabrera helped them win, not to mention home field advantage in the WS thanks to the All Star game he had.

Personally I don't care, but I'm sure it will be brought up if/when they win the WS.

Didn't get to see any of the game last night, but from the looks of it, it was another . Kind of like the entire series so far.

MLB looking at 'hat liners' to protect pitchers

I believe I said something about this when McCarthy got nailed

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/201...#ixzz2AdxS1Wsq

Obviously doesn't protect the face/neck area, which you could argue is equally dangerous. A shot to the the throat could kill somebody.

I'm a bitter Phillies fan, so I can't even watch this game...but I am happy for Hunter Pence even though he was awful for the Phils this year...watching him in the outfield was always an adventure...
