Mets. They love terrible contracts.

I'd say the Dodgers are prolly maxed out, but Miami on the other hand. He is from Florida

Can you imagine the mess it would be, him being managed by Ozzie

Not sure if I'm reading this right, but you're aware they were just there in 06 right?

Anyways, predicting Tigers over Cards in 7. Verlander MVP

And obviously nothing would ever happen with A-Rod if they did find a suitor for him, since he has a full no-trade clause and I doubt he wants to leave NY, the city and the team.

He's yours for another 5 years and 114 million dollars

I think he'd waive the clause if the trade was to a team he liked. Getting benched the last four games must have irked him quite a bit. I don't think he wants to be there anymore.

Wow did not expect the Tigers to take it today. Doubt SF will pull another win out of their series. Tigers will take it.

Marlins will only take him with NY paying most of that contract or paying a very sizeable chunk and taking Heath Bell. Honestly after this year's disaster it would be a smart PR move since he's from here but would backfire by July when he's hitting .207 with 4 HR.

Wasn't expecting that out of Zito last night. Still expecting STL to take Sunday's game.

Diamondbacks get Heath Bell from the Marlins in a three-team deal with the Athletics.

I bet he has a good year. Relievers seem to be cyclical in their effectiveness.

Didn't get to watch the game last night, but nice to see Carpenter blow his start. Can't wait for tonight's game.

Well this is a disaster so far, but history says the Cards were massive underdogs coming into this game 7. You never know though, not going to turn it off.

Coincidentally, both had the same record
Not saying I was surprised by either move, but the teams knew what they were getting.

I got a call from the Red Sox today. Apparently I won a contest because of a survey I filled out, my prize is a team autographed ball. Lucky me, I get a baseball signed by the crappiest, most pathetic, underachieving Red Sox team in the last 50 years.

Congrats?

There could be a premium for the worst team like there would be for the best? (but less) down the road.

I'm giving it to a guy with developmental disabilities who is a much bigger fan than I am. He won't know or care that it's the crappiest team of his lifetime, he'll just see an autographed baseball with a Red Sox logo on it and love it.
