Anyhow, let's start-up the hot-stove talk and other off-season tidbits here.

Both my fave teams are rebuilding...here's hoping they go the right direction...

Ryno is not a candidate for the Cubs job. Epstein said "the next manager must have managerial or coaching experience at the major league level."

The Cardinals did request permission to interview Sandberg though.

It's a mistake. Don't limit your candidate pool.

They should have retained the Florida motif. It's going to pain me to see Jose Reyes in that uniform, enjoying success while my Mets struggle to be competitive.

This is great, I am so happy for the kid! Considering all the bullshit that has been going on with the Dodgers lately, having three Gold Gloves winners and now the CY Young makes this last season a little more palatable.

Verlander wins AL MVP!

The last starting pitcher to be named AL MVP was Roger Clemens of the Red Sox in 1986. The last pitcher to win the award was A's closer Dennis Eckersley in 1992.

Which means, he'll be a Yankee at some point because they'll sign him to a $1 trillion dollar salary.

I can't wait until the NL MVP is announced tomorrow. Come on Kemp, bring another accolade to the Dodgers this season!

I know where a team finishes is a big deal to the voters, but they gotta give it to Kemp. His numbers were ridiculous.

Kemp had a great season for sure. At least he got the big contract done, well deserved.
