ChiSox don't sign cheating roiders. We'll take aging slow but CLEAN sluggers like Thome and Konerko.

Ask the Yankees.

I've always thought that online streams in HD were suspect. Maybe it's because I have a relatively slow connection (2600 kbps).

I do like the Gameday feature mlb.com has.

From what I hear the Reds are talking to him

Although he is cheap though...400k and the Tigers pay the rest

You'll never hear the end of it if Cheatfield signs with your Reds.

And oh, slightly OT...but, Chicago got a QB finally!

And what do your Bengirls have...? Benson at RB.

Well in that case I hope we sign him so I can rub it in your face when we sweep you up and down the field all year

And enough about Cutler...that's 3 different threads I've seen you post it in besides the thread devoted to him

Bring him on...I love this move.

I will personally inject the steriods into him if it means he hits 35 home runs for us.

Imagine the fear of some young reliever knowing Sheffield is waiting on the bench to pinch hit in the pitcher spot. The waiving bat will be great.

Baseball season! Looking forward to many trips to watch the Oakland A's. The offense seems to be set so if the pitchers overachieve and Duchscherer (and the rest of the team for that matter) stays healthy, it could be very interesting in the AL West.

I don't have a problem with that. The Mets needed outfield help last season. Sheffield isn't my first choice, but as long as he is not an everyday player, then I don't see a downside. He is still a dangerous bat.

The downside is that he won't give you any help in the outfield. Also he can be a cancer in the clubhouse, a place with a bunch of egos already.

But in the lowly NL his bat can still be relatively dangerous.

True. But usually when Beltran is healthy, he can cover a hell of a lot of ground. The Mets, and other teams can survive with one poor fielding outfielder at times.

I also think in the NL there is a lot more chances for a pinch hitter. The other thing is if they can convince him to learn to play first, it may also be a help.

Not yet. Hopefully I make it to a game this year. I missed out last season. Elliott will be 3 this year, so it will be easier to try to take him to a game.

Fixed. As usual, many question marks for us going into a season. But we'll have some speed in the lineup with Bonfacio, Maybin, and Hanley. Starting pitching looks good and bullpen is meh. Defense looks assy per some scouts and that was one of the reason we got rid of Mark Jacobs (32HR) and Josh Willingham.

I kind of want to stay at work a little late to see the fly-by over Angels Stadium. I'm sure my boss won't mind if I stare out his window.

Good game. It was nice that ESPN had it or else I would have missed it.

Too early to pick at anything.
