It's about time somebody gives that team some credit. I've heard so much smoke and mirrors and fluke talk, meanwhile they just keep winning.

And to think their payroll is less than for the price of an A-Wad or Jason Giambi...?

Yo, Kijanacarterman111! Your Reds batted out of order in the ninth on Sunday, with backup catcher David Ross erroneously hitting in the No. 8 hole instead of ex-Cub pariah Corey Patterson...!! YOU LIKE THAT...!??!?

Not surprising that Patterson partially screwed it up and Baker didn't have a clue in the world that something wasn't right.

I guess it's true that spending any time as a Cub will make you retarded!

What you need to do, Scottowel11, is chose a second team to a root for, like an archrival (Cleveland) that your other team hates. Then you have a 2x chance of bragging about a winner at least temporarily.

Somebody around here does that......

You guys jinxed my Marlins. Do they still have the best record in the majors after tonight's loss?

We've been hitting very well. Uggla powerwise is on fire. Jacobs before getting hurt has been hitting some bombs. Hanley is said to be the next ARod in 2 yrs by David Ortiz and others say he will be the best player in MLB very soon. The starters have some pretty decent outings but our pitching strength is our bullpen. Imagine if Josh Johnson and Anibal Sanchez never had Tommy John how nasty our rotation would've been. Hopefully we can keep a few guys with the stadium probably coming 2011.

Glad they're finally starting to spend some money...

With a new ballpark finally on the horizon, the Florida Marlins are beginning to loosen their purse strings. Star shortstop Hanley Ramirez has agreed to the framework of a $70 million, six-year contract to remain with the Marlins, a person familiar with the negotiations said Saturday.

To think, we've been dealing with this b.s. from Yumcrock for this long.

Why doesn't Cinci make their stadium more pitcher friendly? Harang is a great pitcher and with Volquez that's 2 nice starters (assuming Volquez keeps it up). Amazingly, they're the only team to not blow a save this year. Had Griffey dropped a 2nd fly ball (never happens) then that would have changed.

There's a lot of things we do that doesn't make any sense (like hire Baker)

We really haven't gave Cordero much work until just recently, but he has been lights out when he does pitch.

And Griffey about gave me a heart attack yesterday...don't know what was wrong

Look up Cuddyer's catch in RF last night. That's at least a minor stroke if you're a Twins fan.

Seriously, what the fuck is Jim Hendry thinking? Nobody in Chicago likes, or will ever like Edmonds.
Beyond that, he 38! He's slow, old and washed up, and his numbers the last 4 years back that up.
I would rather have Felix Pie or Reed Johnson in center anyday.

Hendry might get run out of town for this dipshit move.

I hope Edmonds takes an unnecesary dive into the ivy

It's going to take some getting used to for me to appreciate Jim Edmonds, after years of hating the guy.

Although it's Lincoln's fault for giving up four runs and even putting them in that situation

Pretty good article on the lack of hitting and influx of good pitching in the American League.
