Yeah, whatever, you whiny little douchbag. What? Now you can't hold other players who are 10 times faster than you just so you can keep up? Sad now that your little Red Wing dynasty that had so many good players it covered your mediocre ass is over?

This dude should shut his pussy-ass mouth and get off the fucking ice like the rest of the 40-year-olds who the game has passed by. Good riddance and I hope all of your stats get eclipsed by Euro players in half the time it took you to accumulate them.

This dude has done more for the game of hockey than most. If anyone is a "douchebag" its YOU.

I saw the highlights. I think this can put to rest the Ovechkin vs Crosby debate, cuz from what I saw Crosby owned him. That goal and assist were beautiful. Crosby sure does like to send that waterbottle into the air! What a backhand.

God damn Ottawa is good this year. It may take the Leafs 7 games instead of the usual 5 or 6 to knock them out of the playoffs this year.

He's got a good shot. He's more versatile and physical than Bondra or Salami.

And once he passed through our defense the first three times Man did our defense back down from his speed.. They played so far off him afraid to get beat..

Dion Phenuf (?sp) may be better than them both. He's playing the hardest position like a veteran so I can only imagine how good he'll be in 3 to 4 years.

Our local media did a excellent job on covering Ovechickens season so far (highlights, soundbytes etc.).. And I didn't see any signs of cockiness..

Assets
Hits everything that moves. Owns a big shot from the point and isn't shy about unleashing it. Displays all-around ability.

Flaws
Must continue to improve his defensive-zone coverage, which isn't terrible but could use more work. Can be a little too exhuberant at times.

Career potential
Franchise defenseman.

I havn't seen him play once this year but he's talked about quite often around here when Crosby and Ovechkin are mentioned.

Considering its alot harder to play defense especially in today's game the media should give this guy more attention.

We look to have a pretty good rookie ourseleves up here. Alexander Steen. Only 8 goals so far but he's also probly our best penalty killer which is almost unheard of for a rookie. I doubt Crosby and Ovechkin get alot of time killing penalties.

Was just looking to get a comparison and see how Malkin is doing in the SuperLeague.. His numbers look as good as Ovechickens.. I know it's a low scoring tough league..

Malkin Numbers

2005-2006
25 games - 13 goals ; 13 assists

Ovechkin Numbers

2004-2005
44 games - 15 goals ; 16 assists

Will Malkin be playing for the pens next season? Add him and a matured Andre Fleury to the mix and you've got a pretty good future there.

i dont think the things he does after scoring a goal are a sign of cockiness. His dream was always to one day play in the NHL, but now also scoring goals like a machine. He's just an excited young guy and clearly loves what hes doing. Just let the guy enjoy himself.

Yea, he'll be here next year..

The biggest mistake was not leaving enough money to keep Fluery up here this year..

Even though Lemieux looks so average now a days.. It would be cool next year to see him play with Crosby and Malkin..

I agree. I've seen him play a few times this year. Man this guy looks like the next Scott Stevens...especially in the hitting department.

We have young guys like Ryan Whitney who finally made it up.. The Pens are so hesitant to give these guys a shot..

Just want to mention that I predicted the Pens would struggle on D long before the season began

Four words I never thought I'd ever see together.

The worst part is the Baby Pens are 16-0-1.. I think Fluery has a 1.45 GA and a .965 SP
