I've been watching the game...and I have to say I am not impressed with the rail cam.
1) Its tough for the guy to operate it, in order to keep the puck in view at all times
2) You cant see the player that is on the boards at the same side as the cam
3) Its hard to follow
etc...

maybe I just have to get used to it

just my

damn i like the view this cam provides, its really smooth and fluid when it flows side to side on the rail... up close and personal buuuut the guy whos operating the pivot views sucks hardcore. haha i wish they would stop going back to the "normal" stationary cameras because you can see the rail cam zipping around too. stick to one cam or the other.

i havent seen this happen yet but i think the rail cam would provide an AWESOME view if someone gets checked right below it and it captures it, because obviously the camera will shake some too... would provide a badass view of the hit and feel the effect with the shaking... wonder if they can make the camera pivot to look basically straight down underneath itself?

havent seen it happen yet though, been watchin on and off while writing a paper.

YESSSSSSS stars tie it up while i post this haha 4-4

The rail cam was pretty neat. I liked it...gave you a real sense of speed for the game.

If you did not see it...go here and take a look at some of the clips...some are rail cam footage.

Kopitar in lead for Calder

Calder Memorial Trophy (Rookie) – Anze Kopitar, Los Angeles. This 19-year-old Slovenian has not been nearly as highly touted as Evgeni Malkin, but he has had just as much of an impact. Kopitar has 18 points in 22 games, tied with Malkin for the rookie lead in scoring. His 13 assists are the highest total among rookies and represent a higher point total than all but five rookies this year. Kopitar plays more than 20 minutes per game and is one of only five regulars to hold a plus defensive rating. Runners-up: Malkin, Pittsburgh; Matt Carle, San Jose.

I'm shocked they did not hire Andy Murray.

Kopitar started off hot but he's been cold.. And he's played about 7 more games then Malkin..

Malkin
10G 10A 20Points +6 in 16 games

Kopitar
5G 13A 18 Points +1 in 23 games

Not rocket science

Since it's Thanksgiving, I am thankfull that I am still alive and not dead from a heart attack.

...by that I mean I am thankfull that

was pulled in favor of Garon last night against the Sharks...even though we lost....at least my heart-rate dropped when he was pulled. My rage and anger was calmed....slightly.

Well, Doug Smith was decent in his first year with the Kings back in the 80s and then.... So, who knows...Kopitar could be the next Smith?

3 suspended in the recent Caps-Thrashers games...

What is it with Bob Hartley teams always having these types of games...?

Wow. That's pretty good for Tucker. On a side note, Michael Nylander is on pace for a 110 point season. Which, of course, would be par for the Nylander course.

From sportsnet.ca:

The Ducks are having a difficult time selling tickets for Sunday's game against the Flames. Not too surprising, given the Holiday weekend, NFL Games, etc., but sort of sad, given how well the team is playing.

To help move the tickets, the team is advertising a "promotion" that may be the best offer I've seen, especially considering the quality of the teams. Thought Members might be interested in comparing the offer to what is available in their region.

Ducks are offering four (4) tickets, four (4) Hot Dogs, four (4) Pepsis, and one (1) Parking ticket, for a TOTAL of $46.
This is so wrong in so many levels...

What a game so far up at the Air Canada Center...anybody who has a chance to watch this, do so. Such high intensity, best game of the season.

Tucker running his mouth as usual already had a big hit on Chara which could have been called a charge. He better watch out till the end of the game.
