the penalty was fine, but that's a bad call on the suspension...

Obviously, you have no interest in the Calgary-Chicago tilt or past Hawks games...but, Toews is an elite player who also is clutch and won't shy away from anything.

He's no European pussy...............(which the Red Wings have alot of)...

So you hate the Flyers more then the Pens? I hate the Flyers more than the Caps and would root for the Caps any day over them..

The games are pretty sweet. I love the Crosby chants.. Hope they never figure out Malkin is our best player..

That first goal by Carter was a beauty. Not much Fleury could do about that one. The Flyers came out, well, flying. This is shaping up to be a helluva series. There's a lot of hitting going on.

Tonight I will be. I want Avery to kick ass. Like dom, nothing will make me happier than seeing Avery win. In fact, like dom, I'm praying to god that Avery hoists the cup when it's all over. Conn Smythe for Avery!!

No worries? Jonesi's clearly leeching the interest off our winnings all under the guise of "chaotic work" and "being away".

Jonesi - there's a 30% interest rate paid to me per day on my share.

If you watch the video carefully you'll see it's just a glove to the face and he was defending himself from a 3rd man in. It was originally deemed a game misconduct, then sometime after the game was over it was changed to a match penalty after the game was over.

No doubt about it Lucic needs to learn to keep his emotions in check when playing the habs but considering we had Hunwick nearly have his head taken off by a deliberate elbow to the head area and then nearly get his eye gouged out with no penalties called I say the league should have let this go.

Hunwick later found out that he played most of the 2nd and all of the 3rd period with a ruptured spleen that was removed before game 2.

MEH.
Say what you will about Theodore, that guy has owned the Bruins for quite sometime. I'll be quite happy to see his team eliminated whether he plays or not.

If Ovcehkin keeps back checking like he did in game 2 you'll likely get your wish.

Yes. But, in that case, I was comparing Carey Price to Theodore.

Note to all NHL players who want to get into the fisticuffs with Bergeron...

Leave the Rangers out of this, they have me rooting for them (I rooted for the Cardinals even though I do not care about football and you know where that got them)

It used to be it took the game being televised and my being able to watch for my curse to occur, but now with the ability for me to listen in Sirius that was good enough.

I was afraid the second game because it was on TV and am afraid tonight. They tend to have problems winning when they are up and when they "should" Like where beat Boston then lost to Atlanta in March. WTF?

I can't believe there are no other Ranger fans here ONE VOTE???

Theodore...? Well, the Caps have this wonderful ability during the regular season to just simply outscore everyone no matter how crappy the goalie plays for them...

Too bad in the playoffs, that doesn't happen. When most games are tight-scoring and goaltending duels, the bad netminders usually get exposed quickly.

For instance, I thought Kiprusoff was very average this year...and now, his average-ness is more or less showing (at least after the first 2 games)...I mean, he's not terrible, but his numbers are also not that good for a playoff goalie (please see Luongo etc. etc.) and when he's needed to come up with the are-you-freaking-nuts-save, he hasn't.

Theodore falls in that category...except, worse. At least Kipper would be an upgrade over the guy.

Glove to the face or not, it's the stick that ends up to the head and clotheslines the neck. Time to sit for a game.

My issue with it is that the league changed it to a match penalty because of intent. If intent is the issue not the actual result, how come there was no league intervention with this.....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agVEJq0j56s

or the eye gouging incident...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLWDdfv9wz8
which resulted in sutures around the eye to repair the damage.

Both of these incidents occurred after the the game was over and the league has said they won't tolerate "message sending".

My complaint is less with the suspension against Lucic and more with the lack of consistency by the league.

It won't be a big issue in the grand scheme of things. Hunwick is out for now and Sheriff Shane Hnidy stepped right in. Byron Bitz will do the same thing in Lucics spot. The B's are far from a one trick pony this year

I can't believe I've missed this thread all playoffs.

Should be a good one in Montreal tonight, if the B's can get past the onslaught of the first 10 minutes I think they'll definitely win the game. I can't believe Komi is still talking to Lucic like he is the heavyweight champ of the world after the fight earlier this year in Boston. So many examples of the Canadien's knowing they don't match up in the skill department this year and have to play dirty just to have a chance.
