Still Crosby.

Watched Vinnie against my Hawks in T-Bay's 6-1 spanking by the Hawks and he was a non-factor. Floated around up and down the ice and was outplayed by a bunch of rookies.

Well, he's got that no trade clause and he doesnt want to leave

Today, Lecavailier. Although that answer could change next week.

Offer Sundin a decent chance to with the cup, (Detroit or Anaheim for example) and he'll jump. Trade deadline comes early this year, February.

The NHL head office should study their atlas a bit better...last time I checked, Nashville to Vancouver is not a exactly a short trip.

BTW...Luongo apparently has bruised ribs, which made it difficult to breath.
Tough injury for a goaltender....King's LaBarbara has a rib injury too....I don't expect him back for 2-3 weeks...easy.

Don't look now, but here come the Kings!

Question is which Kings team will show up?
The one that beats the Sabres 8-2.....
or the one that can't even beat the Coyotes this year.

Lundqvist or Lecavalier and I'd go with Lundqvist..

Rangers are a horrible defensive team and numbers wise one of the worst offensive teams.. Has to go to Lundqvist..

And this is the Rangers team that some "experts" in the press have picked as Cup faves with their free agent signings?

horrible defensive team? i guess that's why they allow the least amount of goals in the NHL. they just can't score goals... so i'll give you the worst offensive.

lundqvist for the win. but their not resting him enough and will probably sputter out midway. i hope not but i think he will get run down.

Very undisiplined game by the pens last night from the second period on. Hey if you can't beat 'em, might as well beat the hell outta of em. I just wish we didn't have to wait until the end of January to play them again!

It started to look like it was going to be a great game, end to end action, and then it just got ugly.

Good game tonight...the Bruins are quietly moving up in the East, tied for second overall in terms of points All this without Bergeron and the #1 and 2 goalies. The young guys (Lucic, Nokelainen, Stuart, Sobotka, Kessel) are looking great.

how did aubin even make it to the NHL? his pre-nhl was less than impressive and he hasn't really shown any promise in the pros. at least kings fans can rest assured he can be dumped after a year.

He won 9 in a row playing for Toronto 2 season's ago and played well. At best he's a backup on a mediocre team. Which explains why he's on the Kings.

Wrong. He is no back-up he is the Kings starter!!!!

Aubin got lucky when he won 9 in a row for the Leafs.
He has shown ZERO brilliance this year.
Lombardi got beachball = BUST
Lombardi got Aubin = BUST

I'd be happier if Hextall left the front office and suited up.

meh.....top 5 pick FTW.
The last thing we need to do is dumpster dive for some has been goaltender that goes on a hot streak, and kills our pick chances. (See Burke)

Since Boston and the east coast are currently in a snowstorm the Bruins have made loge seats for tonight's game $19.50.

B's - Devils...should be a good one.

During the Canucks-Kings games broadcast, Sportsnet showed a brief list on the # of goalies used by the Kings last year. I was suprised that the Kings used 10 or so goalies in the 06-07 season alone!!!

So, you have one team trying to slow down the game at all costs and one trying to get past the wall of opponents in the neutral zone...and that's exciting...?

Okeydokey.

...so, what CleanCL is really hinting at is that we should contract the League. Re-concentrate the talent level...which therefore ALLOWS for that "good" team he was alluding to and then, let the other team trap.

But, wait...if you contract the league, that means ALL teams get their talents equally dispersed more or less...that would mean, the talented team does NOT need to trap! So...no trapping!

Okeydokey.
All teams play the trap to some extent...some are just better at it than the others. I think the new "trap" post lock out is all five defenders collapsing and protecting the front of the net.

I guess your prediction was right Dom, one of the worst games I've been to. Not because of the trap either, both teams just played really bad plus there were about 50 fans in the stands. Seemed more like a pre season game.
