Just to stir Waldorf's e-pot tho, I seriously think we need to get some Anaheim Duckie fans in here.

FWIW if you want to talk more puck....you might want to add more than a paltry 24 posts to this massive thread.

BTW there is a huge abundance of Pens, Hawks, Nucks, & Capitals talk here too.

The team the Hawks are icing this year are quite entertaining to watch. They've rid the team of the awful salary-chewing pylons and replaced them with some decent players.

And oh, Toews, Seabrook, Keith and Kane are a joy to watch.

And I believe, when the guy returns, Jonesi will make up a large contingent of the loud and noisy Pens fans.

theres not much to post when i see post after post bickering about how much the kings goalies suck.

i haven't seen any posts about the teams playing that actually stand a chance... sens.. wings... wild... are all by far more exciting to watch than the hawks.

Sure. Let's. Talk about the Sens. You start and I'll be glad to answer.

And in other news, Emery's back from injury. There. Happy?

And PS, CleanCL...if you have not been watching the games for Chicago, don't comment.

I'm obviously a devoted fan for the Hawks but I know when I see a half-decent team...

And honestly, how are the Wild exciting...?!!? They employ Lemaire's lovely bore-the-other-team-to-death trap...?

I'll e-fight with you later.

I'm more annoyed about the fact that Mr. CleanCL just named a trapping team as "exciting" to watch.

my teams the rangers, but why would i clutter up a thread with a "half-decent" team who isn't doing a whole lot to impress?

yea... i'm a boxscore watcher... i've only been playing for 10+ years and watching the game my whole life, i have no idea what an interesting hockey game looks like.

Lovely. Then post about your Rangers!

What the heck man, if a guy wants to chatter about the Kings. Fine. About the Leafs. Fine. Who cares...?

And no offense, you're still not answering how you can find a trapping team like the Wild to be "exciting". I guess you were really at the edge of your seat when the Devils and Panthers (of the 90s) played in the playoffs then.

CleanCL: I also think you're putting FAR too much weight on standings and wins. Cuz honestly, although wins are nice, how is a team that plays up-tempo hockey "boring"...? It's "boring" to watch a team ice some good blue-chip youngsters while finally attempting to climb back to respectability?

so what their not the highest goal scoring team out there, which also makes game close, which would make it more exciting? if you know anything about the game, a good team knows how to break a trap D, and if no one has been able to do it yet, then i blame coaching. theres ways to prepare for any game. strategy makes it more interesting for me. you guys probably like to see 10 goal games and lots of hitting, eh?

who cares about the devils?

with the new rules, a fast team, and good coaching, a trap D shouldn't make any difference.

IMO - it's too early in the season to look at stats/standings, i just watch my HD hockey, and i watch the teams that consistently win, and it's fun to watch. maybe i'm looking at it from a strategical point of view, because instead of just watching i'm actually putting myself in their situations and watching team movement and timing.

or maybe i just like watching teams win... bc the rangers haven't been kind to me. =[ at this point i would take the most boring ranger team in the world if it meant winning some games.

So um...if you're talking about close games, I believe each of the Hawks games were decided by...a goal...?

And a couple were decided in a shootout. OT. Hmmm...yes, very boring.

And honestly, I'm seriously not believing what I'm hearing from you. A trapping team is boring. Seriously boring. How can an "exciting" team break through the neutral zone if the trapping team has pretty much everyone back there...? I don't care how up-tempo and fast you are, the players on offense will all get clogged up trying to bring in the puck and the game ends up resorting to dump-and-chase.

Whatever dude. If you're getting yourself tied up in a knot because the people posting in here are talking about your said "mediocre" teams, then I think you need to take a valium. And even better: talk about your beloved Rangers...if it's worthy of a reply, people will reply! Whoa. What a concept.

i'm not claiming the rangers are anything special, other than having some good players, they play like crap with each other right now. so what exactly would you like me to post about them?

Um, you tell me, dude.

You're the guy griping about all the fluff about the Leafs, Kings, and etc. So, hey...the floor's yours. We're at the moment moved away from those respective franchises...so, please, post about an exciting team to your heart's content.

i'm not saying i hate all of their posts, i was just saying i'd like to hear about OTHER teams from OTHER people. wow, way to get so defensive.

haha, if you think i'm worked up, you have no idea. i was just stating what was on my mind, i have other things that i would need a valium about... so continue discussing about about which crap to choose to sit between the bars for the kings... sorry to interrupt.

Toronto is the centre of the hockey universe so it will always be discussed. As a hockey fan, I'm open to any type of discussion. In the meantime, we can talk about McCabe's game winner last night. That guy sure has some one-timer.
