I'd be shocked if they didn't tie the series.
I also think the first line is going to figure it out & make things very interesting.
The officiating has been atrocious, (all season) but worse yesterday.

Playoffs officiating is always a gray area. As a vested fan, you'll always spot calls for or against your team that were not called (or called) that you completely hate. Maybe they should swap to AI going forward. ChatGPT officiate games?
I'll grant homer angst but I can see when things are right. As an example, (I know you hate Trouba) the "elbow" was not. There is a super slow-mo video, his sucking since coming back hits a new low, he missed. No head contact, & really minimal contact at all.
He was totally out of line having his elbow out & really got lucky, also they were claiming huge injury, yet Rodrigues was on his next shift & played well the rest of the game.
The embellishment is huge.

I do have one opinion, why was Trouba not suspended for his flying elbow? $5000 is nothing. But, Trouba gotta Trouba.
How about the ACTUAL elbow on Vesey that KNOCKED HIM OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS and was not even penalized????
The Trouba hit was a failed hit, he missed (does not change he tried but he missed)
Seems your skin here is hate for Trouba.

Trouba missed, his intent sucked but Rodrigues is uninjured. Vesey is out.
I don't understand how the biggest issue for you is Trouba and not the obvious failure of the league and refs in properly calling games and protecting players. (if Trouba is such a menace, why hasn't the league punished him?)
That was a disappointing game, I don't know what is wrong with Mika but he is making very bad decisions, the last one lead to the game losing empty net goal.
Hopefully they can pull out the win tomorrow, otherwise I can stop stressing the games.

I did not make him captain & am not the league letting him play.

I don't know why you think I am defending Trouba, Right now, he is nothing but a liability, every time he gets near the puck he has mishandled it but that can be said of 90% of the team, Miller who has been good all game just gave up the puck leading to the second goal.
Chytil, with no one near him, dumped it back, they are totally disorganized and running around like a chicken with its head cut off.
All in all these last 3 games have been a sad way to end the season, I don't think they lost 3 in a row all season.
Well, wait a minute, 1:39 left & Panarin finally gets a goal.

You have my vote. I don't care for his style of play and I've said to you before that the Rangers don't need him.
Sorry about the loss -- prolly stings but the Rangers look good. Nice combo of veterans and youth. They will be competitive for awhile. 5-on-5 play, I think NY just stopped scoring and they need to fix that esp. in the playoffs when refs will swallow their whistles.
Whoever wins in the West, I have the Panthers taking the Cup in 6.

I don't see this as being competitive cup finals sadly. The Oilers get slaughtered with a game like last night against a team like the Panthers. I expected more from Dallas though.

I still don't think the make-up of Edmonton is Cup-winning esp. against the backdrop of all the winners from prior years to-date...but there are always exceptions to the rule, I guess.

I hate to say it but the Panthers defense is otherworldly (so far this post season) They strangle their opponents & beat the shit out of them all game. Based on what I have seen so far. The Oil will be lucky to score at all.

Panthers hockey is the closest I feel we have seen to 90s and 00s hockey in a good while. Still doesn't have the big hits that have purposely been removed from the game but the constant relentless physicality is there every night. They are not allowing anyone to have an inch of ice you want on offense with how they play and its proven hard for anyone this year to overcome.
