I still think that given the talent and experience on the Pens, they will be just fine. They are sorta just coasting during the dog days of winter. I dunno, I don't see them missing the playoffs. Over Sid's dead body, really.

2 bad teams played last night, 1 won. Yummy your Hawks have a bright spot with the other Connor, but have some glaring holes as well, even more so than my Pens. May we enjoy not making the playoffs together

I think the Pens looked solid...Hawks were again, overwhelmed and just do not have enough skill or depth to keep up with a real NHL team.

Though, yeah...Bedard missed a crap ton of games and in one game is tied again in rookie scoring?

Pens retired Jagr's number the ceremony was great, even Kopidor came over and had some words with Jags and shared some respect, it was a great event, at least till they dropped the puck and the Pens went to sleep

Since 2015 when they won the cup, idiots in Pittsburgh were calling for him to be traded, and then he won back to back cups. I've been seeing the same rumors and people saying he should move on, but knowing Sid he definitely won't ever leave. He's a Penguin for life, no doubt.

Not sure that is in the same context though. No one right now is saying Sid would be traded just anywhere. The only thing floating around Twitter is he should get out as a rental and go play with his good friend MacKinnon for the rest of the season and the playoffs. It wouldn't be him chasing money with the Pens on the rebuild after so many great years. I still get it was always a long shot just if any long shot had a chance that would be it. I agree I never believed it stood a chance and that he was a lifer.

Dang Colorado getting busy this afternoon.

Getting Walker from the Flyers for a 1st and finally sending Ryan Johansen off into the sun.

Then sending Bowan Byram to the Sabres for Casey Mittelstadt.

Really helps fix our biggest area of need at 2C.

Going to miss Byram. I really like the edge he plays with but we had to do something.

Byram was a great pick. Something I still am bitter at the Hawks for passing up and drafting Dach who isn't even a Hawk now.


I think Avs did great in Byram for Walker though.

In other news, Tarasenko is now a Panther. Oilers add forward depth but still don't address their biggest problem and now, with Denver's add, how is Edmonton getting past the Nordiques? Don't ask me...ask the nutbars running the Oilers.
