^ Yup...horse-shit is right. Dumb@$$ Alt-Right trolls need to go back into the mud where they crawled out from.
Love what the Red Wings have said since. Kinda find it pathetic that Detroit issued a stronger statement than Dumb@$$ Trump but that's our POTUS.

Tough break for a decent guy.
Senators GM Murray says 'there is no cure for me'
OTTAWA - Bryan Murray is facing the toughest fight of his life. And he’s determined to battle this one head-on.
Speaking for the first time publicly in a glimpse at his cancer treatment with TSN’s Michael Farber, the Senators GM
confirmed in a segment that aired on Thursday night that he is battling Stage 4
colon cancer.
Murray also has spots on his lung and liver. The doctors are hopeful the treatments will lengthen his life.
“There is no cure for me at this point,” Murray said in the powerful five-minute story that aired on TSN5’s pre-game
show before the Senators-Oilers match last night. “The word is we’ll keep
doing chemo and, hopefully, reduce the tumours and the effect and I’ll get some time out of that.”

Wouldn't be shocked to see a clean sweep by Chris "I" after the Wings play another mediocre season in semi-rebuild/semi-compete mode. Holland has really buried the team with some overpaid and lengthy homer signings.
If I'm AA, there is no way I want to fly questionable airplanes across 11 time zones in Russia and am simply using the KHL as leverage, but....
Pizza, Pizza.

The Western Conference will be interesting...quite possibly changing of the guard with Oilers and Preds as the new class? I'm still not entire sure about Edmonton's defense-by-committee approach but it seemed to work last year and so, they just need to take that next step. I do still expect the Blues, Wild, and my Hawks to be competitive.
Road to the Cup goes through Pens-ville though, IMO. Their roster remains largely intact with just a slight loss of depth. I like the Bolts and if they can stay healthy, should be the other class of the East. Caps are IMO, toast.

I dunno what the oilers are doing also. They did pretty well last year, but it was nerve racking watching them. I don't know how this year will work out. To be honest, defense wise, I think Edmonton will be worse this year, than last year. And that's never a good thing.

The Oilers are pretty run-and-gun in style given their team speed. So, I can relate to how it can be nerve-wracking...Hawks played a similar style back in the 2009 iteration that won their 1st Cup in the cap era and each game seemed to be a high-wire act simply because they were not play a keep-it-safe approach. Still, it's definitely exciting. Beats watching the trap.

Are you referring to Sekera's injury? He is a minute-muncher but if Hello Nurse and Oscar Meyer Weiner can take another step forward, I'd say it will be okay. Benning also looks good.

Also, the Oilers are going full steam with the kid.
The 3rd line is said to be: Jussi Jokinen - Ryan Nugent-Hopkins - Jesse Puljujarvi
I think they're moving forward with JP, too soon. But what do I know?

The Oilers don't have a single all star player on their entire defense. It's all middle of the pack guys, at best. Seriously, our best defenseman is Adam Larsson, who in my mind, is a mid pack player. Somehow, they were able to make it work for the regular season, but it caught up to them in the playoffs. Truth be told, had the Sharks not been as beat up as they were, they would've crushed the Oilers in the first round. Couture had his face wired shut and Thornton was literally on one leg, and they *still* mustered two incredible wins over the Oilers.
Also, the Oilers are going full steam with the kid.

I don't know much about Edmonton's blueline as it is unconventional (every team that's been successful has at least one minute munching elite type on D) but it worked last year for them albeit, this year, they start off without a veteran like Sekera. So, it depends if the kids I mentioned improve. Larsson is what he is and good at shutting down. I'm more referring to Nurse and Klefbom.
It'll be interesting to see. We'll know what generally the West is like after December. Then again, Edmonton was barely treading water until January...so, again, topsy-turvy with the team. Makes sense since they are so young.
Another wildcard I guess is the bandwagon that's forming like crazy for the Leaves. Some magazines I've flipped through have them pegged as a top tier team now.
Team Owner
Edmonton was at the front back in December, or not far from it anyway. At least in their division.
and :bleh: regarding the Leaves. Them in Vancouver. Both teams should be moved to the KHL.
