It will be kind of a pyric victory for me if the Flyers beat the Devils...I work with some Devils fans who absolutely love their team...One guy me Ty Domie (I know I spelled that wrong) last week and he has been relentless

Montreal has won seven...'73, '76, '77, '78, '79, '86, and '93...in that same span. I know it's been a decade since, but Montreal has been run into the dirt, driving away Roy, Carbonneau, and others. 
What ever happened to Stephan LeBeau, anyway?
The Canadiens are hardly a potent offensive team. The leading point-scorer had 65 points, I think. That would be fine if a bunch of players had around that, but it's not the case.

Face it...the NHL is currently watched by die hard hockey fans. I'm pretty sure that all attempts to make the game appeal to the casual viewer would end up turing the die hards (such as yourself and me) away from the game. I think if you're an avid hockey fan, you'd want to see the best possible matchup. For example, that's why you would want to watch a Vancouver vs. Toronto stanley cup final as opposed to last years New Jersey vs Anaheim final.
I think last year's stanley cup final drew in the lowest viewer ratings...and this involved two American teams.

at the finals....
thus, they were more willing to sack the Canucks when
