First of all, anyone who says that hockey is boring needs to watch it in the playoffs, its so much fun. Im a die-hard devils fan, go to there games in the playoffs all the time, was there last season for game 7 when they won the cup against anahim, the place was going absolutly balistic, one of the best nights of my life. Anyway, if they win tonight, they will take the series against philly. Should that happen, they will play Tampa who will beat the Islanders. that should be a real good series, but i see the devils matching up well against them. The Bruins will beat the Habs due to Kovalevs stupid pussy shit from last night, and will prob face the Leafs i think, but who knows with that series. If it comes down to that i see it being the Leafs over the B's, for a Devils Leafs Eastern Conference Finals, where who knows who will win that, i would say the Devs but thats cause im a fan of them, but i can see the losing.

In the west, i definitly see the Wings losing to the Pred's now that its 2-2...there just to over confident and cocky, and i can see a repeat of last seasons first round exit, although they are suposed to be starting Joseph in the next game so that will be big. Sharks will finsish off the Blues in the next game, the Flames i can see upseating the Canucks even though i want the Canucks to win that, and i think the Avs Dallas series is gonna go 7 with the avs pulling it out. That would make the next round matchups San Jose- Preditors, with san jose easly winning and Avs-Flames, with the Avs winning that- San JOse-Avs- prob go 7, with San Jose Winning. Cup Finals- San Jose- Devils- Devils in 6, and again, not just cause im a fan, i just see them being good enough to beet the teams they would play, if it works out how i said. We will see----any other people wanna put up some predictions based upon how it is now.

Collective27... a true hockey fan.... i like that -- only thing i disagree with is the devs-philly series.... i think the devils will lose in 6 only because they are not getting balanced scoring -- they cannot rely just on elias and gomez -- philly has too much firepower.. and brodeur looks too shaky without stevens back there..
and the avs-dallas series -- i agree on it going 7 games but i think that marty will wake up and be the difference for the stars

sharks win in 5
flames win in 6
stars win in 7
bruins win in 6
leafs win in 7
predators win in 7
flyers win in 5
bolts in 5

lol, first you contradicted yourself.

broduer shaky? yeah right 3 stanley cups he has. hes been here, hes done that. Broduer got beat on some shitty goals, but shit happens. if anyone is shaky is esche in goal...the rook

stevens has been out for months, devils adjusted. the only thing stevens isnt bringing, is the moral support. he doesnt score, he just brings more expierence to the team. Scottie Nieds, Paul Martin, Colin White, Gioux...some pretty good defensemen there.
devils defiantely miss the fear stevens bring to the ice, and the leadership he has.

lets just wait for tonight...the devils win...they bring the momuntum right down to Philly and own. If they lose tonight, down 1-3 doesnt sound easy but the devs have done it before.

i do agree with one thing, devils offense, isnt always finishing, putting the puck home, but that's why they lead the NHL with the fewest goals allowed.

we went to a ton of bruin games over the last 2 years in the garden and the first 2 at the fleet, back in the Ray Borque, Cam Neely, Byron Dafoe, tim sweeny, adam oates, good times, they never went too far in the playoffs but the games were just great. last nights bruins game was awesome, if hockey was played like that every night it would be great

I have Wings season tickets. :P

I am disappointed in them so far. Losing to the Predators? While Nashville is underrated, the Wings will get hell if they get a first round exit from them.

I think it was great that he went there, he deserved a cup. He did alot for the bruins and the city of Boston, and he still calls that place home. If they didnt win that season, he would have just retired. Good for ray.

And im also pissed the devils lost, they were up 3-2 and i was at game 6 at home and i would have loved to see them win it there, but whatever i just had to wait another 2 years for that chance...im actualy leaving now to go to the local sports bar to watch the devil game .....LETS GO DEVILS!!!!!!

AH yes..leafs lose a game..the sky is falling....

But ya the leafs may lose .... , because of injuries. But without Owen, Mats and Joe not to mention a healthy Alex, what do you expect?

If joe and mats come back we should still win the series.

How does a team that isnt very good set a record for points in a season?

Whats bothering me more is how they're being out hit. Leafs look too comfortable, like they are not taking ottawa seriously.

I cant agree with that statment, but i will say that the Flyers are better then the Devs this year. After last nights loss, its just dosnt look like this is gonna be there season. Although they have come back from down 3-1 to the phlyers before, the devils team was better in 2000 then it is now and the plyers team is better now then it was in 2000, so its pritty much lights out for the devs. If they can win on sat in philly, which i highly doubt, then theres a slight chance, but prob not. well see...

Things are finally heating up. After a long, boring 82 game schedule here are my first rounds pics

Ottawa over Toronto in 7

Having said that, GO LEAFS GO
Just a reminder that I picked Ottawa to win the series from the begginning. Its not like I'm jumping off the bandwagon.

fdl, they have been seriously outplayed (expect for the 2nd period of game 3). I'd love them to win, but it just ai'nt happening . Have you realized their not scoring any goals?

Lets go over their lines:

Roberts - Sundin - Tucker - A threat
Antropov - Neiwendyk - Ponokarovsky - 2 stiffs and a great player being wasted.
Mogiliny - Francais - Kilger - Another great player being wasted, Francais can no longer skate.
Domi - Reichel - Fitzgerald - No comment, although I love Domi's work ethic.
Others:
Renberg (Please I'm better)

I'm a leaf fan really, but I'm also realistic. This team is'nt good enough and anyone who knows me has seen that I've been saying it for months.

EDIT: BTW- has anyone else noticed that Robert Reichel has done absolutely nothing for the last 3 years? I mean thsi guy is absolutely useless and yet he's making 3.2 mill a year. I swear I hate the guy he F'ing sucks.

Just had to vent.

Ottawa to win the Cup, if they get by Toronto.

Yes, and thats a very bad sign. Outplayed, outshot, outchanced, outclassed but being outhit hurts the most IMO.

Pat Quinn better be fired if they have another first round exit. He's a good coach but he's had his chance. Lets get some fresh blood, ideas and systems in here.

Way to go Sharks; the very first NHL team to win the first round of playoffs. And they did it in 5 games. They need the rest now so they can kick some second rounder's ass. Who might that be?

Well dom, it looks like if Ottawa's going to pull this off it will be in line with your game 7 prediction.

But here's a little stat...

NHL history shows that teams winning Game 5 of a tied series advance to the next round 80 per cent of the time.

Well it looks like the Canadiens are turning it all around against the Bruins.

Good news, the players figured to win, they'd have to find a way to score more goals than Théodore would let in. Seems like it's working.

Seriously though, it's a good thing they've found the way past the goal line against Raycroft. He was such a wall.

If they win game 7, it's going to be the first time in their history they win after trailing the series 3-1.

GO HABS GO!

I can't believe the leafs lost that game yesterday. They had it..it was in the bag, over, done. 1-0 in the 3rd. Game and series over. Plus all those goal posts! argg....

Now a game 7, where anything is possible. Anyone can win, so who knows what will happen.

Sauceman, I'll definately be cheering for the Canadiens tonight. Although part of me would rather play Tampa Bay next round (if leafs and canadians both advance, Leafs would play philly and Canadiens would play Tampa).

It seemed like the leafs gave up playing offense after the 2nd period . Can't wait till game 7 though.

I'm making no predictions or comments for tomorrows game. I just hope the Leafs can win.

I'm hoping the Habs can pull it off as well. If the Leafs can't go all the way, I'd much rather see Montreal go further than Ottawa. I just can't stand the Sens, especially Alfredsen. I swear I'd run him over if I saw him in the street.
