Crawford's save on Matthews at the end of the second was ridiculous, game changer

And again, Anderson ftw

Wow, impressive comeback by Hawks to double up on the Avs...BUT, have to say the Hawks' second goal looked offside to me...Not sure what the League was watching in the replays but Toews was clearly offside.

Still, Colorado was still up 3-2 and just completely fell apart. Gave up goals in under 1 minute to make it 4-3. And then after that, all over. They need to blow that squad up...holy crap. Oilers Part 2...and there is no McDavid to save them in the upcoming draft.

Yes it is bad very bad in Colorado. I am hoping we blow it up by dealing Duchene for a good #1 defenceman. I hope they keep Landeskog though with Rantaneen and MacKinnon cause those three have played together fairly well this year at times. Enough so I feel they shouldn't blow that line up just yet.

The Sid and the Kids line has been incredible, hoping they keep these 3 together and healthy going into the post-season, they've really meshed together well. And Sid is on a roll now going after the Rocket and Hart trophies

But, of course I'm wrong and the Kings will make the playoffs and steamroll over everyone. Because. Deano am the bestest GM. No cap hell. Nope. None.

As Moogelino would say, "put down the bong". If that blatantly obvious homer call doesn't make you a conspiracy theorist from the war room in Toronto, I dunno what will.

Speaking of Toronto, twas in the land of domcha this weekend and our hotel was packed full of 'cawks fans. Almost as annoying as Habs fans, almost.

Heaps of fair-weathered ones.

Sadly, most have no idea any Blackhawks past this current crew. Savard? Chelios? Belfour? Roenick? Larmer? Graham? Amonte? Sutter? Wilson? Mikita? Nope...never heard of them.

Nice comeback by Hawks to tie it against the Nucks who were going "full Oilers" in the 3rd period after leading 4-1.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the highlights, he's literally unstoppable. That low blow on O'Reilly though..

Columbus is such an intense team to play against, especially once they get the cycle game going. With that said, another huge win for the leaves. 3 point cushion on the Islanders, a 5 point cushion would of been nice but the Rangers blew that

Have I mentioned how much I love Andersen? .. Everyone talks about our rookies & rightfully so but we aren't where we are without him. He's been really dialed in recently and it's been a pleasure to watch.

10 games left

Heading down to Buffalo for the game 2morrow night, should be a great game as always with the Sabres.

No comment from the peanut gallery from the Crosby slash which almost severed a finger? As Moogelino would say, very Pengoonish, not to mention his slash his slash to the nuts.

And no discipline? Another gift from the clowns in Toronto war room to protect the leagues stars. Nyquist gets six games (deservedly so) for a non-injuring slash but Cindy gets nada. Wow.

The slash warranted a penalty...but, it's just that?

Sure, the outcome was gruesome but it's not like Sid took a baseball swing at his head?

Somehow, I suspect your outlook wouldn't be so benign if Duncan Keith was out for the next few weeks and (insert forward from St. Louis) was the culprit.

Basically you and the league are giving Cindy a free pass because he is a star. That's bullshit.

Hockey has to do something about slashing. This is the 4'th Sens player this year to receive
hand injuries that made them miss games due to slashing - Ryan, Stone, Turris and now Methot.

Do I think Crosby intended to sever the tip of Methot's pinky finger? No.

Do i think Crosby intended to injure Methot with a 2 handed slash? I'm uncertain but I think no.

Do I think Crosby intended to slash Methot across the hand? Absolutely. He may not have
intended to do injury, but he sure as shit wanted it to hurt.

Do I believe the spin "Crosby was attempting to slash the stick and it turned out badly?" No.
The recent spear to O'Reilley's groin clearly demonstrates Crosby IS a dirty player and has no problem
using his stick as a weapon. And the recent 1-handed goal against Buffalo shows the kind of
stick control that Crosby has. So, do I believe the 2 handed slash to Methots hand was an accident?
Not for 1 second.

Crosby is not a dirty player, he apologized to O'rly after he got him in the junk, dirty players don't go up to a player and say hey man my bad, didn't mean to do that. Sid should have got a 2 minute slashing penalty for the slash on Methot, but it was not intended to injure. Sid gets slashed on his hands 15 times a game and never complains, it's part of the game. Unfortunately Methot's finger was wrapped around the stick and it caught him wrong, that sucks, but it happens in hockey all the time. I do agree that the league is too lenient on slashing and should call more penalties, but Sid's not a dirty player

I didn't see Kane apologizing after busting out Sid's teeth... dirty player

Everyone's crying about Sid's stick, but no one talks about Sid getting his teeth knocked out...

Oh puh-leeease are you really a literalist??

If so then let me rephrase in terms a literalist can understand:

Apology is not exoneration. To say “I am sorry” does not make one suddenly guiltless.
That statement applies equally well to the offending acts of:
- farting at the dinner table
- fucking your best friend's wife
- wearing white after Labor Day
- murder
- spearing an opponent in the balls
and any other you can think of.
