No need? Hawks did it twice with nobodies and are in the Final 4 again with a nobody.

If they could play better in front of him this series would have a different flavor...

And that D just gave away those terrible rebounds off Crawford. How could they allow the puck to bounce off him like that?

You want to start this again? Versteeg coughed up the puck at center and led to a horrid give-away back in Chicago's zone.

Sure, if Crow was the second coming of Jesus, he would've stopped it. But, Chicago doesn't build around that...don't really rely on him to steal games. If he does, great. But, if not, well...not how they roll. So, turnover, goal. Same thing with the 2nd goal scored by LA. I can keep going.

You're seriously blaming that goal, that was shot from the top of the circle on a turnover? It was a bad goal, end of story. Don't blame the D or anyone else on it.

Ya, not disagreeing, I'm just calling out the bad goals.... that a Peewee goalie, much less Jesus could stop.

No, I'm watching it on CBC, called by Bob Cole, as god intended hockey to be watched.

Bernier, a lifetime backup, is now a name brand goalie? Nice attempted twist to try and make a point.

Who knows. I can't determine who is name-brand in your world anymore.

And besides, didn't you vow to not talk about goalies with me anymore if Chicago won last year? WTF is with you breaking your promise? Geez.

Remember kids, you can put a monkey, a dog, a cat, some ECHL scrub in the net, and win Lord Stanley's Cup.

It really does not matter.

If the hawks D is so fantastic at stopping all the shots, just kick Crawfish to the curb, and put Duncan Sheik between the pipes.....or Seabrook.

Same results.

I love how you like to twist what I say and leave out key words and facts.

Hawks need a serviceable goalie. He does not need to be a Top 4 or Vezina Finalist/winner. You want to keep going? Or continue to just selectively remember what I say and twist it. BUT OKAY...TO HUMOR YOU, YES. CHICAGO COULD'VE WON THE CUP WITH DAN CLOUTIER IN NET. Happy?

And to prove my point, how did Philly end up in the Finals with Leighton in net and Hawks with Niemi? And oh look, Hawks did it again with Crawford last year.

Go to the golf thread and argue on your Leaves' handicaps and how they are doing it in on the greens. Stop instigating in here.

I already have to deal with Waldorf's bipolar personality in here.

And whatever. Not every team can be built like the Bowman-led Red Wings and now Chicago. But, the Bowmans philosphy is to NOT build from the net and out. They build on the blueline.

But, okay...let's selectively forget that and just quote Yumcha as crazy and thinks Hawks can win a game with his 1 year-old in net!

Sorry, just trying to follow your logic.

You keep bringing up how you can win at betting the 00 in the wheel and they hit once in a blue moon.

Meanwhile red or black, odd or even come up....let's just say quite a bit more often.

...but hey, you hang your hat on the slim odds

Like I said with those kinds of odds, and ECHL scrub will work too.
Meanwhile everyone else

Please see post #44580. And if you say so. Cuz, you're nevar wrong.

Meanwhile, Bowman won 3 Cups with THREE different goalies with the Pink Things and the same approach yielded 2 Cups with 2 different goalies with Chicago.

How many Vezina, Jennings trophies and Stanley Cups did that scrub Hasek have?

Meh....who cares.....I'm surprised I even remember that scrubs name.

I bet nobody in here has ever heard of Hasek.

Out of that pile, he picks Hasek. So, nice odds out of the 5. ONE...cuz Dominator wanted to play for the Things.

Again, you're incapable of ever being wrong.

Where's Vernon, Osgood, Niemi and Crawford to "back" your argument?

Vernon has a Jennings too, and a Cup...another scrub.

Osgood this guy was a serious scrub...just look at his stats:
2 Jennings...I think he has 3 of those big silver cup things with the team players names on 'em.
4th all time NHL leader in win percentage (53.9%)
7th best Goals Against Average (career) of all time (2.49)
10th all-time in wins by an NHL goaltender

Scrubs I tell ya...all of 'em.

I'm sure Fibi thinks they are nothings as well.

@ using Jennings Trophy to back up claim.

Vernon a HoF-type goalie to you? Osgood?

You look at the team defense those Red Wings teams had...? You really want to give that much cred to those goalies? You want to see how often the other team had the puck against that Detroit team?

So, if you're using that argument...OMG...Crawford has a JENNINGS trophy and a CUP to his name too. Holy. Shart.

But, ask anyone on the planet and they'll tell you he's a decent goalie...not great. And again, Hawks don't ask him to be...

^^ Yup all scrubs!

Go talk with everyone and tell them how Hasek, Osgood, and Vernon were scrubs.

See how that goes.
