Nooo Nooo Dommmy I wasn't starting the debate, I'm just giving you a view of what other coaches and a fair view of what Crosby goes through every night..
Plus we all know what your idea of good players are... (see above post with Doms record)

What do you guys think Boston could get if they traded away Raycroft now. Obviously his stock was much higher right after his rookie of the year season, but he is still a very good goalie thats just going through a tough stretch right now.

I have no idea ^^.
I am trying to figure out why Tie Domi is even allowed onto the ice anymore. He is now completely useless.
There are a lot of games tonight,.....like 12 or something like that,.......or was it 16? Are we allowed to discuss who we would pick for stuff like proline etc? I never play, but was wondering if that is not allowed or something (dont see why it wouldnt be).

Uh-Oh, here we go.
Berard tested positive for nandrolone
Berard tested positive for nandrolone
TSN.ca Staff

National Hockey League defenceman Bryan Berard tested positive for a banned substance as part of drug testing for the Olympics.
Sources say Berard, who was invited to the U.S. summer Olympic evaluation camp and therefore eligible for Olympic testing, tested positive for the substance nandrolone, an anabolic steroid which is on the IOC banned substance list.
A positive test means that Berard is ineligible for any international competition for the next two years. The test will not impact on the Olympics in February as Berard was not selected to the U.S. team.
The positive Olympic test will have no impact on his current standing or status within the National Hockey League.
The test was apparently conducted in October or November with the results being made known to Berard in December.
Sources say the NHL was made aware of the positive test in December. Sources also suggest that Berard voluntarily went to the league in late December and underwent league sanctioned testing, which came back negative for any banned substances.
Sources say Berard attributed the positive test to a supplement he was taking in off-season training.
Berard would only be sanctioned by the NHL if he tests positive within the joint testing program of the NHL and NHL Players Association which began last Sunday.

Lemieux: Penguins are for sale
January 19, 2006
PITTSBURGH (AP) -- The Penguins are considering several offers to buy the team, and keeping it in Pittsburgh will remain a priority but is not guaranteed.
A recent offer by a casino firm to build a new arena, an influx of young talent and the NHL's new collective bargaining agreement have made the time right to consider selling, Penguins owner-player Mario Lemieux said Thursday.
"We've had quite a few inquiries over the last few months," Lemieux said. "I think the timing was right to look at them and explore them and see what our options are. ... We've laid the foundation for the future and hopefully in a way that they'll stay here forever."
Lemieux and team president Ken Sawyer wouldn't identify the interested parties. Most of the prospective buyers approached them before Isle of Capri Casinos Inc. offered last month to pay $290 million for a new arena, if the gambling firm gets a license to operate a slot machine parlor in Pittsburgh.
Lemieux has said the team would stay in Pittsburgh if Isle of Capri gets the slots license and that any new owner would be bound by that agreement. Isle of Capri must beat out three others seeking the license, which isn't expected to be awarded until later this year.
The Penguins' lease on 45-year-old Mellon Arena, the smallest and oldest facility in the NHL, runs through June 2008, and Lemieux has said the team could leave the city if it doesn't have a new arena by then.
Asked why he's not waiting to see if the Isle of Capri deal is approved before selling the team, Lemieux said: "I said before I'm not going to be the one that's going to move the franchise, and there's a possibility of that happening."
But Lemieux said the team isn't being shopped in an effort to move it.
"There's some (interested buyers) from out of town, but that doesn't mean they're going to move the team to Kansas City or Vegas or Houston or all the towns that have been mentioned," Lemieux said.
Lemieux and Sawyer wouldn't discuss the team's value.
Mike Ozanian, a senior editor who specializes in sports franchises at Forbes Magazine, said the value of all NHL franchises has increased since before the lockout due to the salary cap. He estimates the Penguins are worth $100 million, but would be worth up to 30 percent more with a new arena.
Lemieux and Sawyer said the team isn't being sold out of frustration with its performance -- the Penguins entered play Thursday with just 31 points, the second lowest total in the NHL -- or because state and local politicians have yet to come up with a deal for a new arena.
"I hope none of you expected Mario to own this team forever," Sawyer said. "He's done more than he should ... and he's teed this up perfectly for the community to jump at a great opportunity for this team to stay here."
The team filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 1998, after running up $120 million in debt under former owners Howard Baldwin and Roger Marino. Lemieux's group bought the team out of bankruptcy and he further boosted its fortunes by ending his 44-month retirement in December 2000.

Congratulations to Luc Robitaille he is now the all time Goal-leader for the LA Kings.
For those who don't know he did it in style.
Last night he got a hat-trick vs the Thrashers...with his 2nd goal of the night he passed King great Marcel Dionne for the all time goal leader title.
Nice work Luc....now you can retire as the #1 King.

Flyers acquire Petr Nedved?
http://www.nhl.com/news/2006/01/253360.html
I'm sorry, but our problems aren't scoring goals (we are like 5th in the league in goals-for). Our losses have come from sloppy defense in our own zone. Why does Clarke always pick up these old guys at the end of their careers? Seidenberg is at -4 this year, Nedved is -6...and Seidenberg is a defenseman!! Oh, and he's also 10 years younger than Nedved too.
http://www.nhl.com/news/2006/01/253360.html
Coyotes trade Nedved to Flyers for Seidenberg
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - The Phoenix Coyotes traded center Petr Nedved to the Philadelphia Flyers for defenseman Dennis Seidenberg.
Friday's trade also gave the Flyers the option of swapping fourth-round draft choices with the Coyotes at this year's entry draft and third-round choices with the Coyotes in next year's entry draft.
"Nedved has always been a good scorer and a real good player and we think he'll solve some of our problems up front," said Flyers general manager Bob Clarke.
Nedved, who was benched earlier in the season, had two goals and nine assists in 25 games in his first season with the Coyotes.
"Obviously, I am very pleased and happy to be coming to Philadelphia," Nedved said. "I am coming to one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, so I am very excited to play for the Flyers. This year has been kind of frustrating as far as offensive production, so hopefully I can help Philadelphia and start producing offensively."
Seidenberg has been in the NHL three years, all with the Flyers. He has two goals and five assists this season.

Who cares about the flyers,......they are doing well (haha jks dude).
Maybe Nedved will pick up his play in Philly? That is not the greatest move though if they need help on defense though.

Ya thats true, but underperforming IMO.
The critics are starting to get on Sundins back a bit now since he has not been putting up the numbers this season. A lot of that has to do with the supporting cast and injuries though.

2 D-men from the minor have been playing for the Leafs after Bryan McCabe got hurt, and haven't won a game since.
Allison has been outperforming Sundin all-season long, may be we should trade Sundin away. And I won't miss him a bit.

Valerie Bure officially out for the season with hip surgery. He never played a game for the Kings. It seems his 1.5 mil. salary won't count against the cap since he was injured all season.

Random thoughts:
-The Leafs lost again tonight, I think they are done this season. (2 more times against the Sens, and 6 more times against the Sabres. )
-Only 15,280 showed up in RBC Center to watch the first-place Canes took on the Habs. Unreal, this team along with the Preds should be long gone years ago. Those people don't give a fuck about hockey.
-Offensive Player Of The Week Ovechkin didn't score a single point tonight. Talk about Surprise.
-The NHL Refs suck, when was the last time you saw a ref reversing a call? It happened tonight in Ottawa.
