The season produces injuries and I know for a fact that our team was beat up this season and that extra game off would always help them for the rest.

If Michigan wants a rematch, have the Big 11 add a team and they'd get to play Ohio State again as west/east division champs and then they'd be in the BCS championship game.

I agree...

Hey Michigan fans........would you like some cheese with that wine?

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200....ap/index.html

I wouldn't have been upset if there were a rematch, but after watching Florida handle Arkansas while the Wolverines were sipping hot chocolate (guess the Big 10 better think about a conference championship game) I have no problem with Florida taking them on. So sorry....

They control their own destiny if they win 2 of the 3 against lsu, tennessee and south carolina. I think Tennessee and LSU will beat them, and if it happens we go to the SEC championship game if we beat UGA and Bama.
You were right, UF is playing in the NC game.

It was a complete farce I tell you, Michigan was the second best team in the country and deserved to play for the championship!!!
Not that I would have minded, but I think the current system works - everyone pisses and moans about how a playoff would solve all our complaints except that it would take about another month to play out, and god knows where the revenue is gonna come from. I don't think ABC, NBC, Fox, CBS are gonna pay each team several million dollars (averaged) a game. The computers were right, the AP can shove it - they seem to be the main ones with a Johnson for a playoff now that they can't pick the champion.

Poor Michigan... they bitched and moaned about getting screwed, then got their asses spanked by the Trojans in the Rose Bowl... it looked like a scrimmage for USC.

What the fizzle? Glad I wasn't able to watch the game, was it as bad as the score looked? Lloyd Cooper is getting in a bad habit of losing bowl games as of late. Ouch!

It was pretty bad... 3-3 at the half, then it looked like Michigan didn't even show up in the second half. JDB picked them apart...

Ohio States D couldn't stop Florida if they were throwing a beach ball.

That 51 day rest is killing them. Too bad.

Worst excuse ever. I don't want Ohio State, don't know if you are a fan of them, but that is such a bad excuse for them getting owned by a GREAT team from the SEC.

Could of called this coming since Ohio State had not played anyone all year long EXCEPT Michigan. The SEC showed their true spirit and toughness playing with heart and destroying Ohio State.

And beyond those two statements I love how Florida one. It shows how tough the SEC is and how good the SEC is. I don't think my team, Auburn, would beat Ohio State today, but I can promise LSU would have won and maybe one more from the SEC. Hopefully in the next couple years the SEC will no longer get disrespected by the AP or coaches poll. I thank Florida for winning it for the SEC.

And btw Chris since Auburn beat Florida earlier in the season, we claim co-national champions

Not a Ohio State fan, just a fan of the game. The 51 day rest obviously isn't the reason they lost but it surely must have played a small part. I'm not suggesting OSU would have won if they were playing on 2 weeks rest, but I have to believe the score wouldn't have been so lopsided.

Congrats to Florida, they totally outclassed OSU.

Overrated State University - according to a Michigan fan on the Jim Rome show (as if he has room to talk considering U o M showing against USC)

Florida had almost as big a layoff as Ohio State. You can claim the 51 day rest was what caused them to play off their game. Or you can say that Florida's defense just dominated Ohio State with something they had not seen all year. And/or you could say that Florida was more prepared coaching wise than Ohio State
