the real boise st test is against oregon st on sept 25. a oregon st team that gave TCU a run for their money this past weekend. im glad boise st won tho. they deserve a chance to go all the way if they can go undefeated.

my dawgs looked pretty good too! maybe takes the east this year?
i see the LSU game a loss for them, barely winning against a 2nd string defense.

25 yards entering the fourth quarter. We'll be lucky to get to the Taliban Bowl after that performance.

25 yards included all the negative yardage from the bad snaps....but I agree the offense looked poor, but they will figure out the kinks, they didnt even play debose. Also remember they were missing 3 starters on the o-line, don't think that doesn't matter. The major problem is Addazio. The O-line is supposed to be a big strength for us this year, that's why we should have a lot of sets such as this, Brantley in shotgun, demps to the side of him, then 4 WR set with Thompson, Moore, Debose or Hines, and Rainey, with Jordan Reed (6 3 240lb 4.5 40yd) at TE. Jordan Reed at TE will create so many mismatches for linebackers it's not even funny. The defense looked strong which was good with no will hill.

well of course.

socal never wants a real team in the title game... that way if USC makes it after beating up on ucla.. they can sweep the title game as well.

I know there are alot of UF fans on board, but I believe they got placed in about the right slot in the current polls at 8th.

I think the teams ranked 5 to 10 are in good position because they don't have the added pressure of winning with style (hanging 50 or more points every game). Under the radar, they do their business in September and October, and slay some giants in November to get into the BCS.

I think a drop that signficant after winning a game by 22 points even after all the fumbles and sloppiness isn't very warranted. I think after 1 game of the season you can't drop someone that many spots on a W, but hey the country is crazy enough to give boise state 7 first place votes.

It doesn't matter whether UF is undefeated and ranked 4th or 25 currently though anyways. With the schedule they have if they were to win out (would be almost impossible) they'd be in the championship game anyways.

You guys need to be humbled for a decade or two (or 100 years) and when you finally rank in the top 8, or 25, or win a NC in another sport, you'd cream your panties.

Also, it some team goes perfect in the SEC, they are in the NC game no matter what OSU or BSU or any other team does.

QFT. Game of the year against Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl and they looked solid beating TCU this past January.

and i agree that VT's new uniform and helmet look super cool..
Super poised when VT rallied in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. They made clutch 3rd down conversions, Moore has ice through his veins. Special team mistakes on both teams and a young VT defense didn't help matters.

Cannot wait for MIA-OSU and PSU-Bama

I feel bad for Professor. He's falling into the belief that South Carolina will win the SEC East because they won their first game. This happens every year, the 4-5 game losing streak will start at some point. The whole state of South Carolina will explode into talks of National Titles if they beat Georgia this weekend.

They are like the retarded squirrel that finds a nut once in awhile to keep from starving. They win the occasional big game but don't recruit well enough to legitimately compete in the SEC. Perhaps that will change, but history says differently.

You'd be stupid to bet on this game because it is so unpredictable. One team could be #1 and the other may be on a 10-game losing streak and the game would still come down to a goal line stand one way or another. Richt is 4-0 in that dumpy little town, but you never know.

Right on, Sport....

Breaking NewsUGA receiver A.J. Green suspended for four games » .UGA sports blog NCAA rules A.J. Green must sit out four games
4:35 pm September 8, 2010, by Tim Tucker

ATHENS – University of Georgia wide receiver A. J. Green must miss four games before being eligible to play again, the NCAA ruled late this afternoon.

Green was found to have violated the NCAA agent benefits rules by selling his Independence Bowl game jersey to an individual who meets the NCAA definition of an agent.

Green has repaid the $1,000 he received for the jersey to charity.

Georgia athletic director Greg McGarity said the school plans to appeal the decision to the NCAA Division I Committee on Student-Athlete Reinstatement in hopes of having Green’s suspension reduced.

He sat out last week’s season opener against Louisiana-Lafayette and also must sit out the next three games if the NCAA ruling stands.

As is procedural in matters such as this, the school declares the player ineligible and the NCAA determines how long he must sit out and the conditions of his return.

UGA released a statement from Green shortly after the NCAA decision came down: “I want to apologize to my coaches, teammates and the Georgia fans for the mistake in judgment. I very much regret all that has taken place and the distraction that’s been caused. I’ve learned a valuable lesson and hope others can learn from my mistake. I can only focus my attention now on practicing and looking ahead to getting back with my teammates as quickly as possible.”

Said Georgia coach Mark Richt: “Certainly I’m disappointed with the outcome. However, we have games to play, and that’s where our focus needs to be in the coming days and weeks. Other players will have to step forward and I’m confident they will do that.”

$2000 to attend a party = 2 games.
$1000 from an agent (which, BTW, they don't state if Green knew it was an agent) = 4 games.

And homophobic, know-nothing 'professors' need to pipe down.

Guys, guys, guys... why argue over this game? UA will win the SEC again, anyways.

The real comedy show will begin when Notre Dame goes 3-0; thats when everyone starts talking about them playing for a title ...Tell me I'm wrong, happens every time!

Let's all say we're gay so he stops posting. Better yet, I think I'll make use of the ignore feature.

Hope Green gets a couple of games knocked off. Not so worried about little bitch school to the east, but I want a quick-strike option if we can't contain Mallet.

Seriously. What's with the homophobia and SEC fixation? I for one and looking forward to Miami-OSU. Should make for a great game ala Texas-OSU when Vince Young led the winning drive.

SEC fixation... agreed with good reason. But OSU and Texas are worth watching this year.

Homophobia... is there anything in the PC world we can't make fun of anymore? Race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, location, heritage, political party... everything is out.

Hell I like the redneck with 3 teeth living in a trailer with his sister jokes just as much as any other "insensitive jokes."

Just saying, as LONG as the gameCOCKS PENETRATE this season may be, everything can be the BUTT of jokes with a sense of humor.
