Don't forget the 140 penalty yards the Titans spotted them.

Actually, the Titans (TENNESSEE not Houston Texans you ignorant dolt! ) are ranked 19th overall on D.

These were pretty hard for me to pick, but here goes...

WAS over TB (Gibbs has 'em playing pretty good)
NE over JAX (Pats got the experience + Belichick. I still think it will be a good game though)
CAR over NYG (Sorry Whiskers, I'm big on experience and CAR has more than NY )
CIN over PIT (yeah I'm biased )

Can't wait till this weekend!!

I'm hearing rumors that Haslett is getting looked at but I forget which team. I think Detroit. Scott Linehan, the Off. Coord. for the Fins and former Coord. for the Vikings, will interview with the Texans.

I also heard that Haslett actually wanted to leave NO. He'll probably get a job as might Butch Davis, former Browns and U of Miami coach.

A day after being fired by the Saints, former coach Jim Haslett has scheduled an interview with the Detroit Lions for later this week, ESPN's Ed Werder reports.

The Lions have also contacted Hall of Fame linebacker Mike Singletary about their vacant coaching job.

Asked if he thought he was ready to be an NFL head coach, Singletary said, "Absolutely.''

Singletary, an assistant with the San Francisco 49ers, said Tuesday night the Lions have spoken to him, but an interview has not yet been scheduled.

He also has been mentioned as a potential candidate for the Green Bay Packers' vacant coaching job, but Singletary said the Packers have not contacted him.

Singletary was considered a strong leader in 12 seasons with the Chicago Bears, but lacks some of the coaching experience of other candidates.

This is Singletary's first season as the assistant head coach/linebackers under 49ers coach Mike Nolan. Before that, he spent two years as the Baltimore Ravens' inside linebackers coach. Nolan was defensive coordinator in Baltimore at the time.

Haslett was the 2000 NFL Coach of the Year in his first season after leading the Saints to the only playoff victory in team history. But he never made it back to the postseason, finishing 45-51 in six seasons for the second-most victories in team history behind Jim Mora's 93.

Haslett is expected to be a highly sought candidate in an exploding market. More respected leaguewide than within some quarters of his own organization, he likely will hear from multiple suitors as franchises begin the process of filling vacancies.

Steve Mariucci was dismissed Nov. 28 after 11 games and a 4-7 record. Dick Jauron went 1-4 as Detroit's interim head coach.

Information from the Associated Press was used in this report.

All we need now is Jim McMahon to take Matt Millens job.

Meh, Carnell Williams wins the Offensive ROTY...Sure, I'm biased. But, I still think Orton should've won from the Bears.

That 59.7 passer rating should have provided him an edge.

Kyle Orton will never be the feature QB of a team (NFL, CFL, NFL Europe, or Arena Football) for the rest of his career.

I think the QB rating is overrated. And besides, he played against some good defenses and with WRs who dropped alot of passes. Compound that with the stringent parameters the coaches wanted him to work with.

I'm not saying Orton's an All-Pro QB or anything like it...But, his contribution to the Bears and impact I think was bigger than Cadillac's.

The Bears defense is the only reason they are what they are today. Im pretty sure Joe Namath could have led that team to 10 wins .

Oh for sure. I'm not saying Orton was the savior! The D and RB Jones carried the team...

But, for a rookie QB (4th rounder no less), his success is almost unseen (other example is with Ben of the Steelers)...

Ronnie Brown would've been ROTY if he didn't split carries with Ricky Williams. Many NFL scouts consider him the better back and Ronnie did have better stats for a while even during splitting carries.

I don't know about Singletary being a head coach already. I think he needs seasoning as a D Coord. first.

I'm pretty sure Tapatu (sp), the LB from Seattle gets Defensive ROTY.

Yumchah, nobody's doubting that as a 4th rounder you got your value plus more with Orton. But he wasn't the best offensive rookie this year. IMO he was not the best rookie this year.

It's a little harder to judge defensive players since you can't just go off stats. From all that I've read this year, Tatupu is the reason Seattle's defense has done great this year. Merriman did make big plays and got all the hype on Sportscenter. I was hoping Channing Crowder, OLB for my Fins, would get some votes. We got him in the 3rd round and he had a monster year. They say he was the best Dolphin rookie overall (better than Ronnie).

No rookies in the Bears D this year?

Crowder will get some love next year. Of course he'll be up against the same guy's again, with a year under their belts. He's gonna be a star though.

a few that are playing now in the defensive backfield, but nothing of note for a rookie defensive MVP. Chris Harris(2005, 6th round) a safety who replaced mike green early in the season, and Brandon McGowan(2005, UFA) who is playing for an injured mike brown

Thanks Eyes. PM sent for nudes btw. :gheylaugh:

I knew that Leinart fucked up by not entering the draft this year. He could've stayed in Cali, played for the 9ers, and already been super paid. Now I'm hearing that Bush and Young will probably get drafted ahead of him. Some scouts are over nitpicking his skills though and even one moron said he wouldn't get drafted in the first round. I'm pretty sure he's better than Aaron Rodgers and I know for a fact Miami would draft his ass. I'm sure the workouts and combines will "straighten out" the order.
