I wouldn't get too excited yet. It is definitely a start and I am glad to see Culepepper finally play up to par. I can't say that the Saints are an upper tier team to judge who Minny really is. The defense and offense need to get chemistry and trust with one another. Progressively, Minny will get better and better as that develops. The talent and depth is there, and it helps that we are in a very weak division. The chances of making the playoffs look very good. We will just have to wait and see what happens...

Yes, Moore started and probably will continue to start. He rushed for 101 yards on 23 carries with a 4.4 average. He looked pretty good, but it was still against the Saints and I won't be sold on Minny's running game until they run against a dominate defense. There blocking schemes did look mush better though.

Tice confuses me... He said numerous times this week that Bennett was still going to be the starter, but know I am hearing of a possible trade to Arizona for Marcel Shipp. Bennett was a Dennis Green guy, so he is still very high on him!

There was rumors last week of bennett getting traded for like a 6th round pick. the rumors now is that the vikes are trying to bring some people in and possibly still keep bennett.

Chris Kellys Week #3 - Power Rankings.

Chris Kellys Week #3 - Power Rankings.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Again, When reading these, please note that I actually spent a lot of time putting them together... (ie, I didn't just randomly place teams, which is what some people on here do...) I took into consideration who they have beaten, key injuries to the team, etc... All comments are welcome, positive & negative.

Week 2's rankings are to the right.

1.3 - New England - losing Harrison will hurt the defense.. that extra 52 seconds helped the offense.
2.1 - Indianapolis - I moved them out of #1 because besides Jax, they haven't played a possible playoff team yet, and barely beat Cleveland.
3.2 - Pittsburgh - Parker finally slowed down, how long until Bettis gets the goal line carries?
4.6 - Cincinnati - 3 wins by at least 2 scores. I'd like to see how they perform when they don't jump out to an early lead. Palmer looks good.
5.4 - Philadelphia - nice win over Oakland, McNabb is hurting, and Akers is out. Big test this week vs. Kansas City.
6.11 - Tampa Bay - Chucky didn't forget how to coach. Cadillac will wear down or get hurt if he continues to be abused. They should pass more.
7.8 - Atlanta - impressive wins over Philly & Buffalo. Vick CAN pass!
8.9 - Jacksonville - #2 NFL defense is impressive, held 2 playoff qb's to ratings of 44 & 23! Oline is a big concern. ST coach Pete Rodriguez should never be let go.
9.12 - Seattle - it was only Arizona, but Alexander is a stud. (attn:mgmt, give him a new contract.)
10.16 - Denver - Huge win over the chiefs, plus no turnovers on MNF.
11.17 - Dallas - may be a little high, but if they hadn't collapsed against Washington... they'd be 3-0. Bledsoe is looking great.
12.5 - Kansas City - What happened? Destroyed by Denver, and allowed over 220 yds rushing. So much for that new D.
13.18 - San Diego - Impressive win over the Giants. Here's a winning formula: Give LT the ball more, especially receiving, and you'll win.
14.13 - NY Giants - lost on the road, but Eli was getting boo'd, and still had a nice game. I don't like the guy, but he has looked fairly impressive.
15.15 - Washington - stayed put on a bye week.
16.22 - Miami - Ronnie Brown finally arrives, and they beat the team who beat the Pats last week. Pretty impressive for a team that everyone thought might only win 2 games all season.
17.8 - Carolina - How do you lose to the Phins, after beating the champs?
Steve Smith is a great WR.
18.21 - St Louis - 2-1 isn't bad at all, but they could easily be 0-3. Defense is a big concern.
19.28 - Minnesota - There's the Dante that we all know. M Moore should remain the starter. Still my pick to win the division.
20.14 - Buffalo - Maybe Losman isn't ready? How long until Holcomb is put in as the starting QB?
21.20 - New Orleans - Dominated by the vikings. You still gotta feel for them though...
22.23 - Detroit - Bye week probably didn't make Joey any better.
23.13 - NY Jets - tough loss to Jax, losing your 1st & 2nd string QB's doesn't help either. #3 QB gets shot against Baltimores D... ouch.
24.24 - Tennessee - No one expected much this year from them, but they are hanging in the games. I don't like him, but Fisher is one hell of a coach.
25.23 - Cleveland - Played tough against Indy, holding them to 13 points.
26.19 - Chicago - Blown up by Cincinnati, rookie QB is stuggling.
27.31 - San Fransisco - Held their own against the Cowboys. Sort of impressive for a rebuilding team.
28.30 - Baltimore - A slight rise in the bye week, Defense should be excited about facing a QB-less Jets team.
29.26 - Oakland - They have some weapons, they just can't find out how to win games.
30.27 - Green Bay - Last 2 losses are by only 3 points. Favre is a leader, he will turn them around... hopefully.
31.29 - Arizona - Warner is out for at least a week. PS - how in the hell did Arizona & SF get a Sunday night game????
32.32 - Houston - Bye week, but it doens't get any easier this week against Cincinnati.

Well, Willie Parker and Lee Suggs both have a buy. I would narrow it down between Ahman Green and TJ Ducket. T. Bell will not see many carries with the way Mike anderson ran all over KC. GB's running game has sucked this year so I would go with TJ Ducket on the chance that he gets the ball at the 1 yard line.

The only problem I see is Michael Jenkins...the others should do good enough to carry the load though.

Do I start Brian Griese against the Lions, Trent Green against the Eagles, or Matt Hasslebeck against the Redskins? Those are all pretty strong defensive teams

Which QB to start?

Byron Leftwich vs Denver or Tom Brady Vs San Diego

Which WRs to start?

T.O vs KC, Marvin Harrison vs Tennesse, Deion Branch vs. San Diego, Kevin Curtis (starting this week) vs New York Giants.

I'm thinking i should either bench harrison or branch since peyton hasnt been throwing many TDs, only 2 so far, and tom tends to spread the ball a lot and plus the pats run the ball a lot with dillon.

Which TE to start?

Jeremy Stevens vs Washington or LJ Smith vs KC

Griese since Washington and Philly have tough D's.

Brady. Always go with your stud. TO, Harrison, and if a 3rd Curtis. Tough call on the TE since Was had a bye and KC got the crap kicked out of them. I think Stevens has played better all year.

ok so my defense is killing me by not giving me many points, I have buffalo and they gave me 19 points the first week, then it went downhill, getting like 2,3 points up to now. I think i should drop buffalo and pick up another one, should i go for denver or tennesse? tennessee seems to have the easier schedule.

Nailed Griese over the other QB's. Brady was better than Leftwich. Obviously TO and Marvin did their thing. I think Curtis outplayed Branch. Missed on LJ Smith though. He had a nice game against KC's "defense".

I dropped Buffalo in one league and picked up Miami. I actually chose Buffalo in both leagues but I'm bailing now that Takeo is out and the offense can't stay on the field. Tennesse sure has a lot of points so far but I think what's out there is nothing special. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for Defenses.

Okay this I know it's early but the only question I have this week is my Defense.

Do I start Arizona vs Carolina

or

Pittsburgh vs San Diego

Arizona's defense has been pretty strong so far and Carolina's offsense is nothing to write home about.

Pittsburgh obviously has better talent however they haven't really performed to their potential IMO. San Diego also has strong threats on the ground and through the air.

The only reason I'd say to pick Pitt is that they're coming off a bye. However, San Diego is hot. Arizona lost Antrell Rolle for the year and I believe he was already starting. Zona might be the safe pick regardless.

Michael Clayton (Jets offense will not keep their D off the field so I see big game potential from Clayton...+ Jax has a solid D.)

Randle-El or Lloyd...I would probably go with Lloyd. He is San Frans only weapon and has been very productive considering the team he plays on.

on Lloyd, the Niners looks pathetic vs AZ and Lloyd still racked up 100+ yds. Although Indy's D has been the surprise of the year. I got laughed at at my draft when I picked them.

I would start Pitt...SD or not, they have a solid D that will make some plays. I just don't trust ARZ enough to start them over Pitt.

Indy's D has looked good statistically on paper...but you have to factor who they have played and what type of offense the team had.

Sep 11 @Baltimore Won 24-7
Sep 18 Jacksonville Won 10-3
Sep 25 Cleveland Won 13-6
Oct 2 @Tennessee Won 31-10

Not what you would call upper tier teams. I am interested to see how the D will look against STL's offense. STL is not an upper tier team, but they have a solid offense that could put up some points. Indy has one of the weakest first half schedules in the league. Everyone thought KC was greatly improved defensively, but look what happened to them when the played a high-power offense.

Oct 9 @San Francisco 4:05pm
Oct 17 St. Louis 9:00pm
Oct 23 @Houston 1:00pm
Week 8 BYE
Nov 7 @New England 9:00pm
Nov 13 Houston 1:00pm
Nov 20 @Cincinnati 1:00pm
Nov 28 Pittsburgh 9:00pm
Dec 4 Tennessee 1:00pm
Dec 11 @Jacksonville 1:00pm
Dec 18 San Diego 1:00pm
Dec 24 @Seattle 4:15pm
Jan 1 Arizona 1:00pm
