Yeah I tried the same thing, I held my regular key up to the dash and tried to start with the SBK, but no dice...

I thought the chip just had to be in the vicinity of the column to work guess I was wrong.
I think there is a lockout period after an attempt with a key which is not paired to the car. Maybe you were within that time window when you tried to start it with the good key...

You need to have the key pretty close too, I would assume.

Has anyone here gotten the key for a 2nd gen CL? The more I read this thread and see the pictures, the more I really want that key! haha Plus I just had an 09 TSX as a loaner this weekend and got to see the switchblade key firsthand.

ATTENTION!

At least one person appears to have received the wrong key! I cut a bunch of keys and tried to keep it all straight but seems as though one might have gotten mixed up! Let me know if you have trouble with your key working by emailing a picture of the cut profile to Marcus@heeltoeauto.com

Haha, I am going to make you wait forever

Naw its just that I can't cut them every day, it gets a little tough to do it instantly. Usually it is a week max before they leave. I am working on getting it done faster.

NEwsflash: Heeltoe has committed itself to long term key cutting and supa fast switchblade key turn-around shipping by purchasing their own key cutting machine! These things are not cheap!!!!! But this model, purchased in lightly used condition, provides smooth and fast cutting for the ultimate in service to our customers!!!!!

Also, coming soon we will be offering switchblades with RDX plates for RSX customers, as well as 03-07 Accord fob/key combos for those looking to reduce the weight of their keyrings without the expense of a full-on switchblade. Here you see a pile of keys waiting for the next milling session!

got the key re-traced by dealership and they wanted $100 to get the key programed; anyone replace "new" transponder that comes w/ switch blade key w/ "old" transponder? does it transfer over w/ no additional modifications? is it difficult to gut the switchblade key to have access to transponder?

HEY THERE PEOPLE! NEWSFLASH 2!!!

Immobilizer chip-swapping service is now available from Heeltoeauto.com as well:

http://www.heeltoeauto.com/Fastline-...-pr-64771.html

Send us the stock key, we can copy the cut and cut the immobilizer from your stock key and transfer it to your switchblade. The cost for one key ends up under $200! Plug-n-play, you just program the keyless buttons!!!

I have a blank switchblade as well. I want to send it in and have it milled and cut. My dealer won't program it if it's not the original replacement for my '06 TL. Have you ever heard of this before?

Also, so basically, the dealer will program the immobilizer chip to the car so it starts. And the buttons will be programmed at the same time as the immobilizer? I'm not clear on this part.

We can't do this but we can swap the chip from your stock key into the switchblade. We have not figured out how to get the buttons to work yet, I am unsure if that will ever happen.

Yes some dealers have sticks up their butt like that.

I can take the stock key and swap the chip over, thereby absolving you from needing to go to the dealer at all. You'll need to program the buttons yourself with the car there but thats pretty easy.

Hey there folks, we have finally completed our lengthy Milled Key instruction document! Download it here:

http://www.fastlineperformance.com/i...MilledKeys.doc

It details all information you might need to order and cut the key.

Hello

Would this work on a 2003 RL?

I feel like the key would work but not the remote/alarm buttons. Is this correct?

Would you happen to have a picture of the circuit board batt inside?

Just got my milled key! Thanks Marcus, that was quick. I'm heading to a local dealer that will cut and program for me. Keep up the good work!
