Hey Marcus,
I just purchased a key and I was gonna have it cut at the dealer but theyre being kinda sketchy and I think that I'd rather have you cut it. Can I send you my key and pay the difference to have you cut it? How much more would it cost me? Let me know... I'll pay the difference via paypal as soon as I hear back from you and send the key out priority that way I wont be holding up the cutting process.

The TL-S key is normally a "sidewinder" key for use in special lock cylinders. Fastline Performance takes this key blank and machines it down to incorporate the taper, grooving, and stop blocks of a standard Honda HD103 blank. This blank is used in many popular Honda and Acura cars, including the 04-08 TSX, 04-06 TL, RSX, 01-06 MDX and more! Now, if you have one of these cars (the fully approved list of cars is pending) then you can combine your key and remote fob into one with the addition of the switchblade action to amaze your friends with.

i know, I have a modded tl key for my tsx. but do the tl-s keys look different from the regular tl keys.
I have seen any pics on this thread, so I don't know exactly what is being sold.

Sent my key to you today...
My dealer wants $107 + tax to program the key when I get it back... Does that seem high or is it just me. I've read other post where people paid between $50-$80...

I got my key programs at a local lock smith for 40 bucks. Just have to call around and make sure they can program these type of keys.

I guess it depends on the dealer. Acura Brookfield in Wisconsin quoted me $52 to cut AND program the key.

So I called 2 other Acura dealerships near me today. Montgomeryville Acura quoted me $40 to program the key. When I called Ardmore Acura back to tell them that another "Acura" dealership quoted me $40 to program the key, he told me "thats up to them but we charge an hour to do it and thats $102 + tax so you should probably go to them" I don't know if he thought I was just bluffing him in order to have him lower his price but I wasn't so I guess I'll be going to Montgomeryville Acura to have it programmed.
So now that I got that figured out I just sit patiently and wait for Marcus to do his thing...

Cutting only takes a couple min too.
You guys are forgetting about the fact that:
An RO needs to be written
A porter needs to grab and park the car
A tech needs to get a hold of the RO
Then they need to get the car from wherever the porter parked it
Then they need to get a hold of the diag computer they need to program
THEN THE PROGRAMMING IS DONE, the part that takes a few min to do
After that, the tech needs to put the car away, probably to get washed
Then they need to turn in the paperwork to the adviser
The adviser closes out the paperwork
The cashier gets the paperwork
You pay the cashier
Wait for the car then leave
You have no fewer than 4 people involved, one expensive ass piece of equipment (the computer), specialized training on how to use it, a car wash in many cases, and at least an hours' worth of time if all the above is done at average pace.
So really, how out of line is it? The immobilizer exists to prevent theft. What would you rather have? To avoid this mess, take a stock key and tape it under your dash.

The key will work in the 2G, and you'll need to swap your immobilizer over (or leave a stock key in the car) to get the car to start. The buttons cannot be programmed to work though.
Shipping wait times are dependent on when you purchase in the milling rotation. Right now it is about 7 days out.
