Nice little turn out. How many cars in total had turned out for the event?

Donnie, good luck on your search! I wonder which car will get more seat time when you do get into another TL-S again lol.

Anyone looking for a catback exhaust for their system before I list them in the Black Market? I need to get rid of the GReddy Evo 2 that's been sitting around for the past 2 years lol. I'd rather do it locally than have to ship it.

Saw an SSM TL tonight with RDX Aspec rims. I vaguely remember someone from Macon posting that they had bought a set.

Whoever you are, PM me, I'd love to meet another member that's close by.

None that I'm aware of. The venues we have around here are lacking. Only thing I can think of that would be of interest is a mountain run in the north GA mountains and photo shoot along the way.

Yeah as soon as I raise my car a mountain run is the very first thing I'm doing, actually a few runs, I know a pretty nice route, so many turns u have to stop to let the brakes cool down cause they will smoke, even tho u barely want to use them so turns are so tight u have to use them, im just getting used to the gearing on my tranny to be better suited , can't wait !

Depending on the time, I'd would be so down for a meet.

I know in the past they've been on Sundays, but for me to be able to make any meet, it'd have to be on a Saturday.

I thought you had put stockies on your car while your rims are being repaired. I'll have to get some more work done on my car as I don't trust the tires that are currently on them now. Need to make some adjustments to my ride height too.

Wow, sounds like a recipe for disaster if some take it too fast. I may just cruise to see how my car handles first. May have to be a late summer/early fall run if we're planning something like that.

Not fond of Sunday meets since it doesn't give you time to re-cooperate. We'll have to plan some Saturday meets in the near future . . . just need a good location first lol.

Hello,

I am new to Azine, From Marietta Ga
recently i bought a used 2006 Acura TL ( White Pearl Diamond )
The car is great, but some minor fixes need to be done.

1. HFL is locked by the previous owner.
2. some of the Dorm lights are out.
3. Need to paint the Rims and the the brake calipers
4. This one is little funny ( how do I get free XM ).

I would be thankful if anyone have anything to share regarding the issues.
Thanks

Welcome.

Not sure how to deal with the HFL but for the dome lights, just switch them out to LEDs. They're much brighter than the stock bulbs and look better too.

A lot of people have used plasti dip for their wheels because you can just peel it off if you don't like it. You can also use it as a primer and just use spray paint to paint of the plasti dip and you'd still be able to peel it off if you don't like the look.

And are you asking how to get free XM, or are you asking how you have XM and haven't paid because the previous owner could have an XM subscription and not have cancelled it yet, hence the free XM.

Welcome to Azine. The site has a plethora of info, ensure you utilize the search bar above. Try these couple things to fix your bluetooth issues.

1. When pairing your phone use 0000 as the PIN. You can try 1234 also if this doesn't work.

2. If #1 did not work try disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 20 mins or so and see if this works! **IF YOU HAVE NAVIGATION ENSURE YOU HAVE THE NAVIGATION CODE AND RADIO CODE OR YOU WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO USE THESE FUNCTIONS. ONLY DEALERS CAN ISSUE YOU A CODE FOR BOTH**

3. Pull fuse #7 that would reset the HFL (Hands Free Link). Then hopefully the pin with default back to 0000 when you pair your cell phone.

4. Try these steps if 1-3 doesn't work: This operation clears the HFL of
your passcode, your paired phones, all names in the HFL phonebook, and all imported phonebooks. Clearing is recommended before you sell your vehicle.
Press and release the Talk button. After the beep, say ‘‘System.’’ The HFL response is, ‘‘System options are setup and clear.’’ Press and release the Talk button. After the beep, say ‘‘Clear.’’ The HFL response is, ‘‘This process
will clear all paired phones, clear all entries in the phonebook, and clear the passcode. Is this what you would like to do?’’ Press and release the Talk button. After the beep, say ‘‘Yes.’’ The HFL response is ‘‘Preparing to clear all paired phones, all phonebook entries, and the passcode. This may take up to 2 minutes to complete.’’ Press and release the Talk button. After the beep, say ‘‘OK’’ to proceed, or say ‘‘Go back’’ or ‘‘Cancel.’’ If you said ‘‘OK,’’ after a short period of time, the HFL response is, ‘‘System has been cleared. Returning to the main menu.’’

5. If all else fails you will most probably have to take it to the dealer. HOPE THIS HELPS!

Welcome and experience azine! Haha but I found a guy in doraville that is a great mechanic and has a dyno. He's cheap and reliable and I'm sure he'll give discounts for groups that come.

Any ATL/GA folks do the auto to 6 speed manual swap?

Trying to see if any ATL/GA folks have had the auto to 6-speed manual swap/conversion done on their TL or CL's.

My second automatic transmission is done for in my '01 CL Type S, so I have decided that it's time to finally get around to doing the 6-speed manual swap.

Would love to talk to anyone who has done it before, so I can get some advise on how to source parts, what to do, etc. I haven't had time to look around Acurazine, but I plan on spending some time this week looking through posts so that I can find some more information.

Anyhow, if anyone has had the swap done, I would love to meet up and discuss what all you had done, what obstacles you ran into, etc.

Willing to drive to meet up, and willing to pick up the bill for some coffee/food/drinks/whatever if you are interested in chatting and helping me.

I plan on getting the actual swap done @ Drivers Automotive in Marietta, already talked to Alben about it, he just said I need to spend some time sourcing all the correct parts so that the swap itself goes according to plan/goes well.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys!

on the CL i seen one for sell and the guy said the CEL was on because of the swap, something with some sensor that only came on the automatic trans, i dont know how much truth there is to that, but i would not be surprised if it was true, because my friend has done a few swaps on a few obd2 240sx and they all turn the CEL for that reason.

I know of three guys that have done that swap on the v6 accords, 98-02 (cg) accords. i dont know what kinda of obstacles they ran into but i know all three of them ran good, one of them sold theirs, and one of them brings his sedan to the 6th gen accord meets.

ill see if i can get in contact with any of them and give you their contact info. im pretty sure it can easily be done, i would think the hardest part may be something like the tranny mount, or finding a 6 speed cl ecu (if tranny and engine runn off same ecu), oh p2r did a 6speed accord, let me find it, they are on here

Hey Guys I wanted to introduce my self my name is Brandon and I live in Norcross and I just bought a 07 NBP type S, it’s my 3rd Acura. I had a 06 DPG TSX before my type s and the only mod I had was wheels. I plan on doing a lot more to the TL. I’ve already ordered some Forgestars, waiting on those. I would love to meet you local guys or come to any meets. I’ve gone to the Wild Bills meet a few times. Also would love to have someone help me with mods I really don’t know how to do shit.

Let me know when you guys are going to meet.

List of mods I want to accomplish.

CAI
Cleared head lights
Wheels
Springs or Coils
Tail lights from ACk
Possibly A SPEC kit
