Looks like rain Tuesday Dec. 1 thru Friday. Dec. 4th so far. I don't know about Saturday. Hopefully it'll change.

weather.com is usually 80% wrong when forcasting 10 days out. It will have Dec. 5th up tommorrow so we'll see what it says then.

Prob so.. Hell I checked it this am and now it's up to 30% chance of rain now.. they are saying a 20-30% chance of rain Tue-Sat. I'm going no matter what, but if C&C is off because of rain then I won't leave till Sat am

 

Anyone from the Raleigh area planning on heading down?

 

Me and another guy are leaving the morning of the meet. I'm planning to get on the road by about 4:15. Around 3 hours to get there and, if we have time, stop for breakfast.

I'm in Cary and he lives in Raleigh. We are meeting at the Sheetz by the airport I believe. Feel free to join us! What kind of car are you bringing?

Also, a bunch of people are driving over the Friday before the meet and getting a hotel for the night. That's an awesome alternative to getting up at the crack of dawn.

 

Weather is looking better as of just now. 3 or 4 days of sunshine late next week, only a 20% chance of rain.

I saw that earlier today. In Raleigh it's supposed to rain late Tuesday through early Thursday and then be sunny from then on out

 

weather.com 10 day forecast has lost my trust. Washed my TL on thanksgiving day, and on the way home from durham had to drive through rain. The forecast said partly cloudy. ?!

 

I hate when that happens! I was shocked it rained that night, I didn't hear anything about it whatsoever.

Washed, Polished, Waxed and Protected the outside of the TL-S today. Did the interior yesterday.

Friday evening, a quick wash and spritz on the outside and quick wipedown on the inside, and I'll be set.

I might make it to the meet. But I'll have to leave at a decent hour, my mom is flying into chucktown at around 2:30.

 

Sorry for the delay of information guys, anyways here is where everything will be going down.

Jim if you could link google maps directions to these locations I would greatly appreciate it.

Right now the weather looks decent for the day of the meet, however if there is any rain in the air in the morning C&C will not be going down. If this is the case the staging will be cancelled and so will the ride up to C&C, but lunch and the meet will go on. There are two locations for the meet; #1 is if the weather is good, #2 is if it is raining.

Staging for Cars & Coffee: Stick fingers parking lot in Ballantyne. Plan on being there at 8:00am for a 8:15 departure.

Lunch: Hickory Tavern in Ballantyne - 12210 Cooper Way, Charlotte, NC 28277. I made reservation for 25-30ppl and told them we would be there between 12:00 - 12:30. When you arrive tell them you are with the "Jesse" group and they will seat you.

Meet: Ballantyne Corporate Park. 13950 Ballantyne Corporate Place, Charlotte, NC 28277. The meet should begin around 1:30 and last until ? The corporate park is huge and there are alot of parking lots in there, just look for the giant metal bulls, the meet will take place in the lot next to them.

Alternate meet location should there be rain: "Boyle Building Parking Deck" 13034 Ballantyne Corporate Place, Charlotte, NC 28277. Very well lit and covered.

On a side note: We are all a very respectful group who are coming to check out everyone's cars and share some laughs. Please, please, please be respectfull when pulling in and out of lunch and the meet, please no burning tires or excessive speeding.

Every once in a while we have a little get together and get dinner here in the Raleigh area, but not really any meets. Usually it's just 4 of us, but we are down for more! We've gotten wings at Wild Wing Cafe in Briar creek a few times and we usually stay in that area even though I'm in Cary
