This meet is really gaining some speed!! I am securing a place for lunch in the next couple of days, probably gonna be in the South Charlotte area as that is also when I am locking down a spot for the meet. I am gonna make reservations for approx. 25 ppl, if a bunch more sign on in the next couple of days, I will make it for a bit more. I will have everything locked down next week with all final details posted for everyone.

I am really looking forward to seeing everyone, meeting some new guys and most of all, checking out everyone's rides.

I hear ya Alex, I am gonna be a busy man in my garage after work on Friday night. I wil be doing a full detail until the wee hours of the morning. I also might have some last minute items brought in for powder coating and of course hopefully a sexy new pair of shoes.

The things we do for these cars and these meets!!

^It's all good man. I've been swamped with school stuff, so I feel your pain. I quit my job back in April so now I have the weekends to bum around. I miss the money though. If I wouldn't have quit, I think my car would easily have the A-Spec kit and a drop now

Very true. I really want to get my living situation set up before I get my car all decked out. I'm hoping to pick up a job soon so I can get an apartment with my friend in the summer.

I'm at Wake Tech in the College Transfer Program for a Bachelors in Science, then I can go to NC State. I'm in an Accounting class right now which I love, so I would really like to go to state and major in accounting. I've been thinking about getting an internship at a local accounting firm which I know a lot of people work at. Plus my dad works at SAS and they have internships as well, so I'll see what I can do getting in that program. I'm just getting my bullshit intro classes out of the way right now. It's taken me a while to figure out what I've wanted to do, but I think I've gotten it figured out

I have a 2 year degree in BA, but most of my classes were in accounting. At that time I thought I wanted to become a CPA, well that didn't work out too well. I did very well in accounting, I actually enjoyed it, but then came economics. I couldn't stand economics and I never fully understood that class either (now I do lol )

After failing to find a job with a BA degree in Syracuse I switched to Nursing. So far that's working out much much better.

Good luck with the school man I know it's a bitch with all the work but there is light at the end of the tunnel. I can't wait to be done with school once and for all.

I took Microeconomics last semester and now I'm in Macroeconomics and it's kicking my ass. It's a shit ton of information.

My accounting teacher is a CPA and he's the man. He's one of those teachers that just has so much knowledge, it's crazy. Pretty much everybody in my family is good with numbers (my dad writes and teaches statistics for SAS, my uncle teaches Calc at a community college in FL, and also taught at UF, my cousin teaches Algebra II at a high school in FL, etc etc) so I think I caught that gene as well. I don't mind math and working with numbers. My dad was a bank auditor for a while and he loved it, so I really want to get an internship in something like that to see if I can see myself doing that day after day.

How's nursing going for you? I know a few people I graduated with that are in the nursing programs at their schools.

It's pretty hard to get into the nursing program. So just like you, I'm trying to get the pre-requisites out of the way. Besides the classes they want to see you volunteer and have work experience with patients.

Other then that it's pretty straight forward. You spend many hours studying and reading over your material. The hardest part is that you will have to use everything you learn. So it's not like you learn something for a test and then forget it, you have to implant in your brain for the rest of your career. I like it though, it's a huge challenge!

I have a friend that took nursing classes at CPCC. He lacked two classes and still got a job at a hospital. Now he makes $40/hr. He's a murse now. Such a butthead.

Alex, how much was hendrick acura charging to do the detail?

Yea I bet it's a challenge. Like you said, I'm one to learn material just for the test and then forget it afterwards.

How much longer do you think you have until you are done with classes? What would be your job title once you graduate? A nurse? Any hot chicks in your classes?

Elaborate please
Finance and Accounting are related disciplines. Accounting is about how to Account for the money. Finance is about how to USE the money. To do accounting, you don't have to know any finance. To do finance, you have to know general accounting.

Finance is much more oriented to how the business runs and where the value (monetary value) is; what projects to fund, what is the value of the project, etc. A project could be a merger, building a new plant, buying new equipment, investment decisions, funding a new product, etc.

Unless you want to be a CPA or Tax Expert or something along those lines, Accounting is basically after-the-fact administration. Finance is where the decision making is.

In general, in a corporate/company environment, the finance expert will carry more weight, get better pay and advance higher/faster.

I never thought of it like that but thank you! I'm assuming you have experience in the field of finance?

It sounds like I may have to take that route, but we'll see. I'm only in a beginning financial accounting class right now. Next semester I'm taking a managerial accounting class and I'm hoping I like that as much as I like financial accounting. It's not the easiest material I've ever learned, but I think it's interesting and somewhat fun to do. I've changed my major 3 times in 3 years, I think it's time for me to buckle down and get the hell out of school.

They have a special going on right now, $199 Elite Detail package. You have to tell them that when you call, otherwise they will charge you more.

How much longer do you think you have until you are done with classes? What would be your job title once you graduate? A nurse? Any hot chicks in your classes?

Elaborate please
Man I still have at least 2 years to go I'm working full time and studying part time. The nursing program will require me to work part time so I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to do that. Yes, there are sooooo many hot chicks in Nursing not so much in my class I'm probably have so better looking ones next semester though. Oh and once I graduate I'll be an RN, registered nurse The master plan is to go on with school and become a Nurse Anesthetist! They make over $100K/year easily!

Plus it's just a lot more interesting.

Oh, as for nursing, you can't go wrong with that. You can make a lot, especially if you work shifts, holiday, call, etc. Nursing school at a traditional four-year institution is very hard to get into, but practically anyone can get into the hospital's nursing school and graduate with a guaranteed job.

I've got more than that, but then again you are older than I am.

That's awesome that you've got it all figured out, that's something I still have to do. The required beginner courses are so bullshit, I hate it. Let's say if I was an official Accounting major, I still have to have a certain amount of Science credits and all of that crap. It takes up so much time
