Whooo what a weekend in Pigeon Forge.
Did a bunch of Typical tourist stuff, along with food, Dixie Stampede, 5 Alcohol tastings (drunk), and had a wonderful time.
What did everyone else do over the weekend?

Why does it have to rain this weekend ugh
It has been awhile so gave the TL a nice wash and detailed everything last week.
I managed to dodge the rain these last couple days by watching the news not driving the TL as much. So its just chilling in the garage.
In other news I won a 40 inch l.e.d TV from my jobs xmas raffle.
Last day of work today then 5 days off.

This past weekend? Nothing. Was going to wash the car on Sunday, but it was too cold. Shooting for Friday when it's supposed to be sunny and 60.
Oh, and I'm off this week .
Got parts sitting in the breakfast room, but not going to install them until the rest come, which won't be for a while . The installs are inter-related, so doing them all at once makes the most sense. At least it will be warmer when I get to it .

So Christmas was awesome, family came down for a couple days from Tennessee. Lots of eating and drinking.
My favorite gifts are a bose Bluetooth portable speaker, a 1 terabyte portable hard drive, and a 8 hour concealed weapons class voucher.

Hope everyone is doing well.
I ate good all week.
Received some new sunglasses from Porsche design and some voltex side end plates for the evo cyber bumper.
And go panthers rawr rawr.

Nope. There was a "preview night" last month but that's about it. Nothing compared to the RC launch. Both the NX and RC are selling really well! I'm getting a RCF and Mitzi is getting a NX200t F-Sport.
I've tranferred to the Northlake location; come visit! It's much newer than the Independence location and there's no traffic or speedbumps!

Yeah I saw the GSF pics and it is beatiful. I also fear it will probably cost another 15k on top of what the RCF costs which will but it at about 80-90k then which is crazy for what it is.
Personally my next vehicle I want to be as fun as the IS-F to drive and but also have utility and maybe even AWD.
Unless I decide to just get a new car for Megan and then use it for traveling. However, I do all the driving when we travel so I would prefer something fun to drive. Thus why I keep coming back to a Cayenne as being the next best idea.

I don't know have not gone to look at one in person. Although new it is probably out of my budget anyways. We needed every inch of the my Dads old Tahoe we took home to PA for Christmas to get there and back with 3 dogs. Not sure if all that would fit in the Macan. Granted we were going home for 18 days so had to pack a lot. On a regular basis it would probably be fine and I could get a hard shell roof carrier for those few special trips.
Been looking at used Cayenne GTS pervious gen and current gen X5M. If only Audi would give us the S4 Avant non of this would even need to be discussed.
My dream would be a current gen Cayenne GTS but those are holding their value way to well.
This is not a now decision though. More like it will take me so long to decide what I want I am starting early with a plan of purchase in 1.5-2 years.

A Cayenne GTS would be badass. Morgan, Alex, and I dropped by the Porsche dealership a while back and sat in a Cayenne Turbo and really liked it. For $120k after $20k off, I was hoping I would like it
A part of me wants an Audi Allroad just because it's basically an Avant, but it's so slow for the price. VW is releasing the Golf Sportwagen which looks promising but is refusing to bring the R variant to the states

I'm glad I'm not the only one who does long-term planning

The other two cars I have considered but depends if Audi/VW decide to bring them to the states which appears you have just cancelled one out is the RS3 and the Golf R Wagon. Now down to only 3 choices I guess.
And yes the All-Road is way to slow. I also know I am looking for something that is very hard to achieve in having something as fast, handles as good, and is as fun to drive as the IS-F but also has more utility room and AWD for travels back home. AWD is probably the first thing I would take off the list cause I could do with a great set of snow tires like I do for the IS-F right now.
Funny you mention that. What got me so into the Cayenne was when I was at the Porsche/Audi dealer back home looking at the S8 for my dad. I sat in a fully loaded GTS model with the upgraded seats and even the red seat belts. The thing was amazing. I think it was like $108k fully loaded.

It also sucks that BMW refuses to sell a 335 or 535 Estate here. I guess the US market loves SUVs too much. Volvo has the V60 Polestar though...
350-hp, 0-60 in 5.0. Do want
However, it's $62k because they are only bringing 80 to the States.
I applied to places for the next two weeks, trying to find something that interested me, but sadly nothing worked out. My last day was the 31st so on the 30th, out of pure desperation, I contacted two managers that had transferred to Northlake. I told them that I was being let go and asked if they had any technology-based positions open. A few hours later I was told to call the GM there and he offered me the spot over the phone.
It was pure luck and I'm very thankful that the two managers I knew were willing to bring me over.
I'm now in the Technology Department as a Delivery Specialist; the same thing Stephen was doing at the Independence location. We are smaller than that store so it's just me and one other guy which is really cool. The hours are pretty long but I'm allowed OT so I don't mind. It's much more of a team mentality at Northlake and it seems better organized as well. The commute sucks (10 miles one way compared to 33) but with the insane traffic on 74 and Idewild, it takes me just as long to get to work as before which is nice.
The only bad part about my position is that I never get off on time. I was supposed to leave at 7 yesterday, ended up leaving at 11:15 because a couple came in 6:30 and started negotiating and then did finance and THEN it was my turn with them. I'm always the last step so this job is more of a waiting game than anything else.
