Good news guys, the house passed inspection! The inspector said for being 24 years old, the house is in immaculate shape. There are only a few minor things he said we should have fixed but none of them are detrimental to the house.
The water heater should be replaced within a year due to it's age but it's still alive and kicking for now.

Thanks Eric! Big things indeed
We plan on it. It's a "low boy", meaning it's a horizontal layout instead of vertical, and so it's a bit more expensive. We hope to have that done within a few months of moving in. Maybe it'll go bust before the current owners move out
Thanks Jason! I still need to see your new place.

Maybe you'll get lucky lol, my friend just bought a hpuse in Concord and was able to get the owners to put in a new septic system in before he bought it. Its funny I'm kinda looking for a house to buy too, tired of renting and it sucks having no garage and 3 cars and a motorcycle

We're having some minor stuff fixed but since the hot water heater works fine and is just old, we might ask for an allowance.
You have 3 cars and a motorcycle? Fuhhhhh. I can't wait to park in the garage again

I've got my TL, wife's escort, and my project RX-7, and then my SV-650, good thing I've got a long driveway, If we buy a house I'd really like to build my own standalone garage/shop

Bad ass! Have you met Sean? His username is Gryphen. He has a TL and he has a project RX-7 as well. He's the owner of the shop linked below and they do a bunch of engine swaps and rotary work.

False. I lost the lock key to the lugs on the TL...simply ordered a new one from McGard. Just had to give them the code from the box.

Pick up a change of address packet from the post office. Should have a 10% off coupon for Lowes in it. Good for up to $500 off, no exclusions. I used one on my mower.

Congrats! As for the water heater, it should be covered under the home warranty (seller should be providing). If you end up replacing it yourself, look for rebates from the gas or electric company, depending on which you have.

I don't have the box from when I bought my locking lugs
Yeah it's covered, but we're not sure if we want to wait until it blows up to replace it.

Ben...good seeing you today. The CL looks so nice rolling down the road. We ended up going to nothing bundt cakes after we chatted with you. You ever had a cake from there?

Yesterday wasn't a good day for the TL. A coworker was moving a dealership vehicle and backed into my car
As of right now the car isn't being moved until I figure who's paying. Since the guy was on the clock and driving a vehicle owned by the dealership, I'm not sure if he's responsible through his own private insurance or if the dealership pays. Until then I'm graciously allowed to take a Lexus loaner vehicle home each day until it's fixed.

^ Heard the roads were a mess last night and today, everything is shut down. Good news is that it's supposed to be 45 degrees today, so everything should melt.

Definitely do that water heater sooner rather than later. You don't want to clean that mess up. Like you posted above, ask for an allowance. On our beach house we knew the HVAC needed to be done (plus some other little things), so rather then having the owner half-assing it since they were moving out, we got a $10k credit at closing. Used it to fix a bunch of stuff, repaint, etc and what's left will be going into a new HVAC system this spring.
So be sure to ask for a credit/allowance. Worse thing they can say is no...
Aired Out TLS

Looking good Bee.
Tyler that guy needs to learn how to drive if he hit you in the parking lot. Maybe I will no longer take my car there. That makes me not trust the people there a lot.

We just sent back a "fix-it" list to the owners and their realtor this morning. Basically everything that the inspector pointed out, we are asking to be fixed. The water heater is the largest concern so we are asking for an allowance there. The rest of the stuff is small so I don't see them refusing those items.
I'm just ready to move in already
Congrats Bee! Love it
He's a super nice guy, very apologetic, so I'm not angry. It's more annoying than anything else. The biggest issue now is who's paying for it. I'm not sure if he's personally liable or if the dealership is since we were both on the clock and the RX was registered to the dealership. The TL won't be moving until that's settled so I'm driving loaner cars from the service department until then.
If you bring your car here, skip the car wash. Our employees are good about being careful with customer vehicles but the car wash guys aren't Hendrick employees and don't give a shit. Plus ALL cars for BMW, MB, Lexus, and Audi go through the same car wash, so the wash guys have to drive the car to the other side of the auto park and then drive them back.

Tyler I'm assuming the RX has the buttons like the TLX does to put it in gear and park. If so you are a victim of this new technology. People aren't used to it.

The current RX doesn't have push-button transmission, it's just a refreshed version of the 2010. The RX will be all-new for 2016 but I'm not sure if it'll have it then either.

Hey! Any of you guys know a place in/around Charlotte that sells helmets? Looking to get a racing helmet (not a motorcycle helmet) but want to try some on first before ordering. Interested mainly in Bell helmets. When I go to Bell's site and look up dealers, most are motorcycle shops, which doesn't do me any good.
