Some great shots everyone. Was an awesome weekend. Great weather, food, cars and friends. Not much more you could ask for. There is no doubt that it was larger then last years and much larger then even last years summer event. Can't wait till Kentucky. BTW Jason, It's not as far as we had thought. It's just a little bit over an 8hr drive.

Yeah it was the National Azine meet that is 14hrs away then. It shows as just over 7hrs for me. Still not sure I really want to make that drive for it but we will see. I would definitely trailer it to something like that. My ears were killing me after the 5 hour drive back from Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Evan thanks for sharing those here and welcome to our chat thread haha.

Working on the video now. It looks pretty cool. Trying to match the music and get it to fade in and out.

Thanks Sean. And yes it was a great weekend. I wish I could have came down earlier as planned. I am undecided on the kentucky event.

haha oh shit. Well welcome back, it's been a while then!

Everyone pray for my internet connection. It's been off and on the past week and right now i've got the video uploading. If the connection fails before it uploads completely I might blow a fuse in my head.

Thanks man! Always wanted to make a video with that song and finally got around to it. Videos are entirely different the second you add music to them.

Great shots guys! I had a blast at IA and the Stone Mountain meet (dat bbq ). Thanks again Jason for letting me crash at your place.

Eric - I take back what I said on the last page. Good thing the pictures of us are digital.

I unfortunately dislike most of the video footage I have and will be lucky if I like enough to make a 2-3min video.
Whats wrong with the video? Was it shaky?

I'll add a few of my pics. Overall, they came out like shit. Some were taken with my phone too.

Leaving the hotel, I think we were rolling 9 or 10 deep.

This thing had a B18 in it.

Just your typical Starlet...

...with a two rotor...

Then this happened:

The chick in the 3 series tried to make a u-turn. She failed. The RSX t-boned her. Im pretty sure the RSX was totaled too.

Anyway, back to the show.

I would daily this:

Why a rat-rod Miata? Because fuck you, thats why.

My favorite CL.

And I want Jeremy's wheels. Bad.

Oh, and I got probably the worst sunburn I've ever had in my life.

Oh, and I was determined to get a decent pic of Callie (sp?) on Saturday. I managed to scare the crap out of her in the process

But I finally got one - yes, one, even though I had to take about 40

No problem any time Morgan. Glad to have you.

That guy had to be doing triple digits cause when I looked down we were cruising at 90mph

The video isn't shaky just isn't at that great of an angle. You see mostly the front of cars. Also on the ride home my buddy Jared constantly would follow behind me when I was trying to get some video of the cars we passed on the way home.

The Advans are much heavier than my TE and CE so probably won't be track wheels in the end. I have also heard they are not nearly as strong as the TE and CE and as long as it took me to find them I don't want anything to happen to them. That being said they did come off a time attack EVO.

Yeah we rolled deep to the show for sure. This is how I had hoped we would have rolled all weekend but oh well maybe next year.

That crash had fail written all over it. I think the BMW was her boyfriends as well and I felt so bad for the RSX guy.

"Why a rat-rod Miata? Because fuck you, thats why." Excellent

Get in line. I will find a way to make them fit.

I wasn't even paying attention to the speedometer for most of the trip home. I was busy fending off those that wanted to cut me off

That sucks. I figured that once I got behind you my headlights would probably ruin any attempt of recording the cars too.

How heavy are they? Oh, and I know everyone runs them, but have you thought about picking up a set of 17" RPF1s? Theyre light, strong, and cheap. That would be my choice for a track wheel.

And theres always the Kentucky IA

so that what the first accident was, i saw the second accident that was out on the main road from the speedway with a g35 and a 4 door civic.

i doubt that was the same rx-8 unless you left around the same time we did. we started going back home around 5pm. and i think we saw the rx-8 maybe 1hr away from atlanta.

The_GPW_AP2 dont worry about that primo parking spot, me and bee had to park in the grass also.

did anybody know about the fight going on? i really wished i was part of crowd that saw everything.

eric, you nailed it with the song for the video. how much video did you record total? i might have to invest into some mounting equipment next time.

We left IA around 330, but between traffic and grabbing food, we hit the road around 5 (I think).

We missed the second accident, but I heard that there was another. I also heard about the fight, but don't know the whos or whys on that one.

Thanks man. I keep watching it over and over haha, along with the other videos i've found. Such a good weekend. Those are pretty much all the clips I made. I think I tried to make more but my battery died. Was using a bogen clamp mount that I bought a long time ago. I might use my ebay bucks on a slider or something like that.

That Nissan hardbody reminds me of my mini truckin days. And that Toyota starlet looks like a fun ride with them drag radials and a bench for a rear bumper.

Nice pics/video guys

I really hope the bring ia to charlotte again but maybe as a fall meet cause last years event was friggin hot. Anyways, I couldn't pick up the civic this morning no tomorrow ill get it bright and early. I'm glad this such a simple looking car and by this time next year I might have enough for k24 swap with 6 spd....but my plans tend to change.

The deck height on the K24 pretty much ensures that you'll be cutting through the hood. The K20 should be able to fit under the EF3 hood with the webbing removed and an angled intake manifold/ITBs. I had an RBC manifold that had the flange milled on it so I could do just that on my hatch. If you do end up doing a K, I've got stage 3.9 DSS axles and hubs, and probably a few more K swap parts. Or if you plan on doing a B, I've got mounts, axles, and shift linkages for that too.

I may end up using that stuff though if I can get myself back into a hatch or a clean CRX. I'm probably just going to do a B18C1 swap, keeping a/c, and call it a day.

Besides that, the car looks solid. I don't see any rust on the driver side wheel arch, which is really good. Hows the passenger side?
