Road Trip
About 3200 miles all told. 31.9 mpg. Took the Fusion for costs and for the miles.
Left Charlotte at ~5:30 PM on Friday, arrived McAllen, TX ~7:30 PM local time on Saturday.
~2 1/2 days in McAllen, TX and 1 day on the Riverwalk in San Antonio .... Remember The Alamo ....
Left San Antonio at ~12:30 local time yesterday and arrived home at ~10:30 AM today.

McAllen, TX no shit... I had to deliver a SL55 AMG there about 2 years ago. It is a serious trip and the farthest south and west I have ever been. It's a very nice city from what I could tell.

You should try to come in Saturday Oct 6th. The first Saturday of the month in Charlotte is always Cars and Coffee and then later that day is the Freshwise II meet.

Cars and Coffee is from 8am to about 10am. They say it runs later, but most people start clearing out around then. Turnout has been awesome last few months. They've been filling a huge lot... several hundred cars easy...
Freshwise II is from 10am to 4pm.

Made the best out of the only day off from work this weekend.
Drink beer and cooked out.
Missed out on Cars and Coffee meet, and the drift and car show today. Decided to stay in the house.
Not really into the drift thing but wanted to go see and maybe catch some nice rides at the show.

What's up guys.
The TL is stretching her legs lately on lots of trips. Taking her to VIR to camp out this coming weekend and watch race cars on friday and saturday.
Yesterday I got to listen to my buddies 2jz lexus sc idling in the parking deck at crabtree valley mall in raleigh for about 10 minutes. I told him i could sit there all day and meditate to the sound it makes.
I also found a very awesome looking background for a photoshoot in Raleigh.

I would love to go to VIR (never been), but I have plans next weekend. I was actually trying to go this weekend to the HPDE classes they had, but they sold out the green group (beginner) before I could reserve my spot. It worked out for the best though. I didn't get out of work Friday until really late, so I wouldnt have been able to prep the car and drive out there in time

Oh, there is a MM near me...who knew? LOL. Only one that was near me previously closed years ago. In fact, they completely left the market shortly thereafter. I knew they came back, but thought it was just in the suburbs.

I am headed to Raleigh shortly. I will be visiting the LEGO store at crabtree and looking for a bicycle shop as well. Also, there is a potential i might try and take some photos of my TL at a location that was spotted last weekend. You are welcome to contact me with any questions or comments you may have regarding these said activities. I will also be making an attempt to discover the other half of Umstead state park as last time I was unable to explore the entire place.

I am not 100% sure I won't be yet however I have tickets to a PSU game that weekend and my girls niece has her 1st birthday party that Sunday and she would really like to go.
However, if I go home this weekend which is possible but a few things all fall in place for that to work then I will be around.
