We got really lucky with the change of venue.

When i discovered IA was moving to Charlotte i lost it!

It was the biggest and best meet i've ever been to.

And your car got sooo much coverage!! LOL. I've yet to check official websites, but just wandering around ppls facebooks, every1 has yours!! (By the time we got there sunday we had such a crappy spot alllll the way at the end of the wall so haven't seen any of my husband's yet. I know there are some floating around since i saw some ppl lurking around with their cameras but no luck so far. Blahhh.

Yours def stands out tho. Every time we see it my husband's like hey, theres the guy from acurazine (and he doesn't even come on here ever with his busy work schedule) LMAO. Looks good tho! Was looking for u but there was no1 around :/

Ok so I understand a little more why this hood is listed as costing $10k. First, it is made by TRD so naturally it has a high price. Second, until now we did not have a picture of it to see that it is double sided carbon which is pretty awesome and very beautifully made. Third, it appears to be made with a dry carbon process apposed to the typical wet carbon process which normally is half the price. Still doesn't mean it makes me happy that it is $10k but I understand it a little more. $2500 would be about my limit and even that is going a bit crazy.

I buy never unless they sell cheaper. Not to mention the prices were only released last year and they are still not even available for sale yet even in Japan to my knowledge.

Details, details...

You could always just buy the vents and install them on your OEM hood .

I actually do!!! My husband just got his done, it came out perfect!! And the prices were pretty decent. (Not going to say how much we paid bc its a friend of my husband's boss lol) but i did see the price sheet n it was pretty reasonable. Someone had keyed my husband's car (before he bought it), then bunch of scratches from bushes in my driveway. The headlights looked like CRAP before, tried every product in the book. Whatever they did to restore them, looks just like its out of the factory. Ok ok, I'll stop with the advertising, its just i was dead set about him throwing away money to detail the car for I.A. and once it pulled up it was immaculate. Then when i saw how cheap i didn't say a word & will actually be having mine done sometime this month lol..

Its called Splash. 704-795-2426. The card says its in Kannapolis but its not far from Concord as my husband works at the discount tire off Copperfield/Dale Earnhardt & they refer every1 there.

Yeah , well technically that one is the Mister's. (But im a firm believer in the community property rule haha). Mine is stock 100%. I totally refuse any mods on mine bc i feel like its not as safe when i drive the kids around. Next time you're over there say hi to him. He's constantly standing around taking about cars to strangers. LOL

You should go see our buddy Carlos. Jason can vouch for his work. I forgot the name of the place he works at but it's off of Independence Blvd.

i'm pretty sure if i lived in charlotte i'd be driving something much nicer. the scene in tampa just doesn't get me excited any more.

in any case, just got promoted at my current job, but won't be making as much money as the position i wanted out west.

no longer need awd so i guess i'll be in the hunt for a nice, sporty used vehicle soon enough. ANY IDEAS?

Was it your choice to stay compared to taking the gig out west? One positive is at least you will be able to visit more now.

List your definition of sporty and your requirements and price range and I will find you a list.

@blitz, i told him to keep an eye out LOL. Once he sees a TL he's going to talk to u regardless i think. He's finally getting to the mods he enjoys but every1 in his car club has 8th gen civics so he doesn't discuss much with them.

@godfather, choose wisely! When i got rid of my Audi i thought i was good with it, but having FWD made me realize just how much i miss AWD lol

Though i got the offer for the gig out in Utah, it was a low ball offer (more than i make now w/ the new promotion, just not nearly enough for what i'd be doing and the hours i'd hafta put in).

i guess just about everything on the road is more sporty than my current versa hatchy

i'd prefer to have 1 decent car, instead of keeping the nissan and getting something else as well

i'd like to get into something $15-$18k otd and drop about $3-5k in mods on day 1

i need something reliable, somewhat gas efficient, 4 doors, mod friendly, and automatic (i know i know, but don't kill me)

fwd or rwd or awd really doesn't matter, but i do LOVE awd ... especially since i drive to the mntns several times a year to climb

for some reason i can't seem to shake the idea of another 1g tsx (i'd comptech that bish out!) but i wanna try something different

DISCUSS

I know taking clients was a concern out at the Utah job. Is that still a concern now? If not I personally believe that your perfect car is the STI hatchback other than the fact it doesn't come in auto.

I will put some thought into it at work today and try and come up with a list.

What do you consider gas efficient? Like 25 mpg? 30 mpg?

At that price, if you want AWD, then an 07-08 Subaru Legacy would fit the bill. Of course, its hard to go wrong with a TL or a TL-S too. I'm looking at picking up an Altima SE-R soon, and I've seen those with 50-60K miles listed for 14K (I'm trying to find one with the blend of 80-90K miles at 10K or less).

a mix of 25mpg is more than fair. i don't need to take clients out anymore. i do love the sti, but i already know that i'd spend as much on mods as i would for the car so that's not the smartest choice.

anyone know anything about the lancer ralliart (wagon/hatchback)? it's got a turbo engine and awd. i believe it contains the same dsg gearbox and seats of the evo ...

I think it has the same gearbox but I don't think it has the mode selector like the evo does.

You can tune cars for less than $1500 since when? That is kind of the standard number to programable ECUs to my knowedge.
