imho if you still have so many questions on which camera to get I suggest you just stick with the one you have right now, until you master that, save the money you have and just invest in a better lens, once you feel that you've mastered that then go with a new body. A new body doesnt make your pictures better, you do.

so if im wanting a DSLR, what would you photo whores (josh) jkthink would be a good starter?

ive used the gfs nikon d40 in auto mode..fail i know lol but i would like a good camera before i go to europe in april

just keep messing around with the settings and you'll come up with something great. auto mode is useless , might as well get a point and shoot if you're gonna use auto mode. just my 2 cents.

how many times do i have to repeat this crap.

i decided to give my xti to my little cousin as he really wanted it for the past 2 years.

and i am listening to you guys obviously by trying to find some slightly used body. hopefully i can get some clean body for cheap so i can get some good lenses.
